JEFFERSON CITY, MO -- Doug Lueckenotte of St. Martins entered a guilty plea this morning in a Cole County courtroom. Court records show that Lueckenotte admitted to Sheriff's investigators that he killed his nine year old son Kyle at their home in the early morning hours of July 28 and that he also planned to kill his 16 year old son.
The older son woke up to the cries for help from his younger brother, put up a struggle with his father, and wrestled the rifle away from his father and called 911.
Lueckenotte could face life in prison when he's sentenced June 9.
