I did a little research. On Jan 24th 1990, Laurie filed for divorced against Frank Albert Steiner. This divorced was uncontested without children and finalized on March 22nd 1991.

Laurie's father, Robert Arthur Jordan, passed away on Oct 17th 2011. Laurie was listed as proceeding his death in his obituary. The obituary stated that Laurie's mother (Louise Jordan) had also passed before Robert too. Laurie has two suriving siblings, a brother named Bruce Jordan and a sister named Susan Jordan-Merrick.

On April 9th 2012, Frank Steiner (Laurie's ex-husband) petitioned the court to declare her legally dead. On June 28th 2012, Laurie's former employer "Switch" filed an affidavit stating that Laurie was having work performance problems in late 2006 and early 2007. Judge ruled Laurie legally dead on Oct 24th 2012.

On Oct 26th 2012, Frank Steiner follwed up with courts to request probate will processing. The original request was filed during the petition to declare Laurie dead back on April 9th 2012. On Nov 30th 2015, Frank Steiner was awarded $76,000 worth of personal property from Laurie's estate.

Frank Albert Steiner is the son of the late Frank Oren Steiner who passed away on Oct 12th 2020.

On April 29th 1983, Frank Oren Steiner assaulted a former St. Louis Blues' player Noel Picard. Steiner was at Al Baker's Restaurant at the bar section and attempted to pick a fight with two men. One of men asked Picard for help during this altercation (for defense per witnesses). Picard who is 6' 3" and 212 lbs with a comparsion to Steiner who was 6'4" 224 lbs. Steiner punched Picard in the restaurant and then the altercation was then taken outdoors to the parking lot where Steiner kicked Picard in the face while Picard was on the ground. Picard was sent to the hospital for his injuries.

On June 12th 1983, while out on bond for the Picard assault, Frank O Steiner cut a 35-year-old woman's phone lines, forced entry into her home, raped, beat, and held her hostage for 5 hours until police arrived. A friend of the woman's had called police that morning around 11am when she couldn't reach the victim. When police arrived to the victim's home, she ran out of the house. Steiner had four guns on him/left in the victim's home at the time of his arrest.

It was reported on May 23rd 1984 that Frank O Steiner wasn't competent to stand trial for Picard's assault or the 35-year-old woman's rape and assault.

On Oct 9th 1985, Frank O Steiner pleads guilty to second and third degree assaults against Noel Picard. The second degree was for kicking Picard and the third degree was for the punch in the restaurant. He served only 1 year in jail for both assaults against Picard, which were run concurrently.

On Oct 9th 1985, Frank O Steiner also pleads guilty to rape with a weapon and 1st degree burglary against the 35-year-old woman. He was sentenced to jail for 5 years for the rape and 10 years for the burglary. However, his sentence was changed and reduced to only 5 years probation for both offenses (no jail time served), which were run concurrenty. As of 1990, he was no longer under probation.

Over the years Frank O Steiner had around 30 petty small claims cases. He seemed to love to sue!

It was reported on May 31st 1962 that Frank O Steiner resigned on May 1st 1962 as the director of public safety for Hazelwood, MO. The police chief at the time, Albert Talley, also resigned on the same day. Per the article, Steiner stated that the police department was "as clear as possible from politics" and that he advised Talley that he wouldn't be reappointed. So Steiner claims Talley said he would just resign then. Per Talley, he states Steiner tried to run the police department. He said Steiner would ride in unmarked police cars and harrassed the residents. Steiner admitted to riding in unmarked police cars, but said he never harrassed anyone. This individual can't be 100% link to the same Frank O Steiner as mentioned in the above paragraphs, however when Frank O Steiner (father of Frank A Steiner) was arrested for his assaults he lived at 18 Queen Ann Drive in Hazelwood, MO.

Thank you! I'm not personally connected to the case. I play around on the DoeNetwork as a hobby (accountant by day), and it always bugs me when there's almost no information about a missing person. Especially when that person goes missing in the age of technology. There was something about Laurie that just stood out to me and I wanted to know more. Once I found the info I did and cross referenced and couldn't find any of this information posted elsewhere, I felt I should share to the community.

I plan to dig and post more on other missing cases where there appears to be limited information out there.
