Missing woman's boyfriend in custody
Authorities searched a private property in Maysville, Missouri for a missing woman, who lived near the searched property.

There was a large pond on the property that the Missouri State Highway Patrol searched with boats. Dawson was not found anywhere on the property and officials will not say who owns the property.

There was new evidence found on the property that the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said will help them with some of their leads.

Authorities are following up on leads after searching a wooded area and pond in northwest Missouri for a missing woman.

DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Kasey Keesaman said Wednesday that 23-year-old Leah Marie Dawson wasn’t found during Tuesday’s search of farmland in Maysville but evidence was. He provided no details on the evidence or who owned the property.

Keesaman says Dawson was last seen with her boyfriend about two weeks ago at a gas station. Keesaman says her boyfriend isn’t classified as a person of interest in her disappearance. But he has been jailed for the past week, initially in Clinton County on a drug charges and currently in neighboring DeKalb County for failing to register as a sex offender.

An endangered person advisory has been issued for Dawson.

I wasn't really trying to find the owner of the land... just the sort of area/land that was being searched. What LE searchers may be dealing with concerning the tundra, so to speak.

I can't link it as he's not formally a POI, but if you wish to search MO court records he has an extensive history. I'm afraid she won't be found alive. Praying for the babies she leaves behind.

I believe the landowner is the father of the boyfriend. Sad day to see police searching your property when your son may be involved in a disappearance I’d be stressed too...more like devastated

Thursday, Eldredge along with Dawson's mother Tonya walked the streets of downtown Cameron, hanging fliers and spreading the word on their daughter’s disappearance.

"At all hours of the day we’re out," Eldredge said. "putting them up talking to people"

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department is also heavily invested in the search.

"We’ve been trying to follow up leads," Sheriff Andy Clark, DeKalb County Sheriff's Department said.

Clark said his office has received multiple calls of possible sightings of Dawson since the day she went missing, but so far none of those leads have led to Dawson.

"People think they saw her in St. Joe, several people think they’ve seen her in Kansas City," Clark said.
