If a perp took her, I would have to believe that 1) He/she would have a car parked very close by and 2)He/she would not take off her clothes while abducting her.

So this walking and baby in diaper doesn't make much sense to me if it is related.

FWIW, I had a colicky little bub and would take him outside at all hours of the night because it was the ONLY thing that soothed him. I am gonna hope perhaps this is what it was.

What were the temps last night?

It's been kinda chilly at night here, can't imagine having a baby outside in a diaper.

If this is what happened....if Lisa was abducted from her crib through a window...that is incredibly brazen of the abductor. So many variables could go wrong. And, if it was this person around midnight, that's really not that late. Mom could have still been up for all he knew. And he must have known that Dad wasn't there. And he knew which room was Lisa's. Was he watching them for a few days before that? And, if Dad just started his job, how would the perp know that?? Could it be one of Dad's new co-workers (someone who wouldn't be working at that time, but knew Dad would be)? Or a neighbor that knew of Dad's new job? Someone they trust?

Unless you are mentally unstable (which is possible), you don't just break in and steal a baby unless you know something about the environment you are entering.

Street perpendicular to Lister - would that be NE 37 or NE 38? These roads are so windy, it's hard to tell. Locals?

Agreed. The high is about 90 today, so I left for work this morning in capris and an elbow-length shirt and felt really cold walking to my car (it was probably around 50 this early a.m.)!! I can only imagine how much colder it'd feel in the middle of night!

bbm....remove the purple clothes off a little girl and in a diaper she could easily look like a he.

Yeah, it looks like there are a few. I wonder which they were referring to...

MOO

Plus the chance of being heard over a baby monitor, baby waking crying, etc.

If he did remove her clothes, that tells me he is smart and crafty. He was thinking clearly enough to know that her clothes would be good identifiers. But, again, where are the clothes??? I wonder if the witness saw him carrying anything other than a baby. A backpack or something.

Then again, this guy might have nothing to do with Lisa's disappearance. It's awfully coincidental, though, and I'm not a huge believer in coincidences of this nature.

So many possibilities!! If this was the guy, 1) He had parked somewhere nearby, but far enough away so the car wouldn't be noticed. 2) He was being picked up by someone else. 3) He wasn't being picked up, but was walking somewhere - I'd think that he'd have to be walking somewhere relatively close if this was the case.

If she was in only a diaper, though, where are her clothes??? He would have walked from her house to where ever he was spotted, so that's not a huge area. It seems that the dogs could track her scent to those clothes...

It was dark and eyewitness accounts can be horribly wrong. The man may have thought she was just in a diaper but is mistaken. Especially as its unlikely he paid much attention

I hope we get confirmation of this unknown man and baby quick. If this was the abductor, I'm thinking this may not have been a planned abduction. He knew if he was seen carrying the baby in the purple outfit, he'd be identified as the abductor immediately....but if he had planned this, wouldn't he have brought a change of clothes?

I have horrific visions of a John Couey. PLEASE CHECK THE NEIGHBORS!!

Oh god...that is my nightmare, that happening again. Would make sense too.

Low of 46, that is awful chilly to only be wearing a diaper....I'm thinking the baby would have been crying. Also wouldn't the baby be crying due to being awoken, undressed and carried by a total stranger?

Another thing: I wonder if the cops found any type of cutting tool near the house. I suppose someone could rip a screen, but it would be more likely (IMO) to use a knife or scissors. So, where are they? Did he take them with him? Probably, but I'm still curious.

Also, was the window unlocked? I must have missed this part. Do they think he raised the window up to gain entry? I didn't see any reference to a broken window. He could have used a glass cutter, I guess, to then reach in and unlock the window himself. That seems to be getting a little "advanced" in breaking and entering, though, which would make me think this wasn't his first time doing a B&E. Kidnapping is a huge leap from B&E, though.

I feel like I'm rambling. Maybe because there are just so many possibilities and I'm so scared for little Lisa!!

Yes, it really is brazen isn't it. Man, I have VIDEO monitors still in my boys rooms (they are 3 and 9) and they are right next door to our room!

Chasing.Halos is a bit jaded lol.

If the window wasn't latched, it'd be quite easy to get in w/o cutting the screen, just pop a screw driver, knife, key in between the screen and frame and pop out the screen. I've done this many times. Not everyone locks/latches their windows, especially just now heading into fall.

I hope so too. I keep thinking though that its easy to remove a little outfit, they fit in a pocket at that age. Plus wouldn't it make more sense that it is someone living in the neighborhood rather than a total stranger from blocks away or miles? A guy on a perpindicular street just fits imo. Even if he didn't live on that exact street, anything off it would work. Hope they are going door to door for at least a one mile radius and have a good description of the man. I can see noticing him more than the baby as another guy.

The man who saw him should be able to tell LE the exact home it looked like he was going to. It should be able to be verified quickly if there is another child in that area. IMO
