They probably can't 'go' there. I know I couldn't.

I couldn't "go there" either with the bad chain of thought. But I think my mama instincts and mama love would still be wanting to care as much as I could for my baby- even if from a distance. I would want to be begging to whoever had my child to care for her in the ways that only a mom knows her own baby could. (In addition to begging for her return home!)

Concerning Lisa's height and weight-I think the weight may be off a bit but the height could be fairly accurate. I knew my almost 7 yo daughter was long when born but could not recall the exact figure so I got out her baby book and looked. She was 21 3/4" long and weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. at birth born 12 days before her due date. I am 5'7" with a long torso so she fit nicely!

I looked up her height and weight at 10 mos. She was 19 lb. 9 oz. and 29 1/2" long. She was always in the high 90th percentile range for her height and 75th for weight for the first year. She walked at 10 mos. At 1 yr. she was 21 lbs. and 30 3/4" long.

Just wanted to share!

Regarding this "media deal":

The only link I have seen that mentioned this was a news story where someone answered the door and said something about a deal and they would not talk to the reporter.

I said before that I have a general distrust of things reported in the news as being absolute fact. They are just too quick to twist, misinterpret or flat out get things wrong. There were a few mentions of the local news not being very sympathetic or nice at that time. Now indeed what was reported about a media deal may be exactly what was said but when I read that I wondered if the truth wasn't closer to the reporter being told that the parents didn't want to talk to him (or his station) because they decided to only deal with *insert network here* (national network, another local network, a specific reporter). Or the person didn't even use the word deal but said something like "they are only going to talk to *insert network/name here*. That reporter feeling snubbed twisted that into "they wouldn't talk to me because they have a deal with another network".

moo

Thank you. This aligns with my thoughts about the "deal" reported as well. No direct quote, no name of person saying it, simply the reporter's interpretation of whatever the conversation was. Even if the person they spoke with was never identified. I would have found a direct quote much more credible.

Given that in the event of a stranger abduction Baby Lisa could be alive, I believe that if LE had any possibility of getting a search warrant or taking any action they would not wait until tomorrow.

They may be working on one even as we speak.

I really hope so.

Are you thinking of Ashley Irwin, Jeremy's sister who made the statement the night LE said Irwin's were no longer cooperating?

Yes! Thank you so much :) I couldn't think of her name for the life of me.

I read that the parents gave permission for LE to go back to the house yesterday and today and do more searching. Makes me wonder if LE doesn't have enough to get a search warrant?

I've mentioned this on previous days, but not sure if this same crowd was there, so I will mention it again.

What if something happened much earlier in the day but dad went ahead and went to work so as not to raise suspicion? The rest of it was done after dark, before dad got home from work so that he could "find" the baby missing?

I'd sure be interested to know if the neighbor who was there visiting that evening actually saw Lisa with her own eyes.

Just like Ron Cummings with HaLeigh's disappearance ... Create an alibi and stage the home?

Possible.

My dad was that way, we were raised to be very cautious about leaving lights on if we were out of the room more than a few minutes. Even if we came out of our rooms to have dinner, that 30 minutes or so made him upset if we left our light on. He would have had a fit if we left the t.v. on all night.
I'm not sure what my husband would do if he came home in the wee hours and all the lights were on, he might know something was wrong since I'm the one who is always going behind him turning off lights that he didn't turn off when he left a room. The door being unlocked wouldn't faze him, we rarely lock our doors. I do, if I'm here by myself late at night, but if he and my son are home, it doesn't bother me. I've often wondered if I were to fall in the tub and hit my head how long it would be before he came to check on me. :waitasec:

ROFL! For one, your dad and my husband are made from the same stock! LOL...now...the comment about the tub cracked me up. My husband used to ask all the time "why do you lock the bathroom door? what if something happened to you?"....sigh. Habit. Always lock the bathroom door...even when in tub. Now here is where it gets similar to your thoughts...If I drop the shampoo bottle or something..he would always shout "are you ok in there?" ....however, since I've had serious ulnar nerve damage I tend to drop things ALL of the time...so the other night I accidentally knocked the entire shelf of shampoo, conditioner, soap dish and all and there was not a peep out of him. See? He is now used to me dropping things so if my head banged into the tub...I now wonder how long it would take for him to come? Even thought about leaving the door unlocked from now on. LOL

Except in the earlier dialogue here on that topic, it was in relation to the hypothetical woman's spouse/baby father being deployed in the military and due home soon.

:)

With all of the technology to connect troops with their families now it would be hard to 'fake' a baby.

Not necessarily if they if they have mental issues.

Let me tell my story...Many years ago I had a guy try to break in on me.

I was young, I was single and was in the living room late one night watching TV with the lights on. I heard a noise at one of the windows. I assumed it was one of the neighbors numerous cats but kind of freaked me out so I tuned off the TV and when to the bedroom and turned those lights on. Next thing I knew I heard noises at one of the windows in that room. Went to kitchen and switched on the outdoor lights in time to see a guy head around the corner of the house.

Before you say just a peeping tom I will tell you LE found the screens cut to the windows in both rooms. Why did he try the windows of the rooms I was in and had lights on when there were other rooms that were dark? Because he was off mentally is all I can think of!!!

LE picked him up within a matter of minutes one street over. The guy was well know in our small town for doing creepy stuff since he was a teen and had just gotten out of jail after serving 12 yrs of a 20 yr sentenace for breaking in (and who knows what else) to another home. Luckily he was still on parole and he went back to jail just for being suspected in a crime and not following the terms of his parole.

Years later I heard that after he got out again he was killed while breaking in on another house. So while things that make sense to us sane people don't always account for the things that some disturbed people do.

Crimes don't make any sense to anyone except the criminal. Every time I hear people say a person wouldn't do something, I have to laugh. Because, YES... they do!! My son is in LE and he still shakes his head sometimes over the things criminals do.
A young woman in my area was arrested the other day over trying to steal a $3.99 pumpkin. Crazy, right? The store manager saw her taking it, tried to stop her, then an off duty sheriff's deputy saw her and ran after her, and she managed to hit him with her vehicle while trying to get away.
Every time you think you've seen it all, something else comes along.

oh, that's good... but, do you really think the Irwin's are that smart to think of a distraction...??

Even though I believe it was an outside abduction and am really interested in the neighbor interviewed twice, if it was DB or JI I do not think for one minute it was deliberate preplanned.

The only scenario i could see there would be an accidental death or suddenly snapping.

Don't the parents/loved ones usually get briefed by an FBI profiler on what to say and what not to say?

I wonder if these parents have been coached in that way.

1a. It's possible they have interviewed someone who has a visible bruise, scratch or small cut on their body and LE has noted it and is trying to determine if it could have come from entering the house through the window (hence the reenactment).

Once again, just my opinion.

RSBM:

Agree totally with what you are saying - maybe screen imprints on nose face area.

I would imagine if they get permission to search it's to their liking. Less problems later on about the admissibility of any evidence found.

I promise..this will be my last post and I will continue reading about the lights--thing-LOL
How did the husband see a pushed in screen in the dark-did he notice it outside the house before he went in
or inside

Street lights nearby? Possibly the moon was giving off light? Neighbor's porch or yard light on? Could be several reasons, but a house in town is not going to be pitch black at night all the time. They could keep a porch light on, too.

I don't know why but this cat gives me the shivers. Somethings just off to me that this cat is found this day. A kitten could be a great wat to keep a boys attention. Keep the boy occupied.? imo

That thought just walked through my mind a few minutes ago. A 'hush kitten'. Just my own pondering amid the mental replay of 'where is this baby and why are we still running in place?'

Tricia is having trouble with the chat room. She is trying to bring it up. But it isn't working. Just FYI

The chat under the blogtalk radio window?

Damn. That's a good point; which I'm not too happy about because I REALLY like Angleena's theory!

But! What if they don't have what they need to get a warrant, and they're trying to get this person to sweat? Pressure them a bit? See if they can get this person to say something.

Yes good points! Put a tail on them and watch where they are going and who they're talking to. Would it be better to follow them around a while, or take them in and have them clam up?
