The area of Kansas City that Lisa vanished from is not by any means a dangerous area of town. And, Kansas City couldn't begin to compare to St. Louis as far as crime goes.

I know the neighborhood where Baby Lisa lives isn't highly dangerous, I am from the area....LOL.

And funny you say that-- Forbes listed KCMO the 3rd most dangerous city in 2010, right after STL. Just a little fact.

I'm not from the U.S. and I have a question about your doors. You are talking about the door being unlocked. Do you mean the door was open or was it closed but not locked with a key? If it's the last one..can you open the door from the outside if it isn't locked with a key? In my country when you close the front door, you can't open it from the outside. Locked with a key or not.

Yes, you can still open it from the outside if it's unlocked. Some doors have a "setting" where it can't be opened from the outside even if unlocked on the inside, but most don't have that setting.

Would need a key to open a locked door if you were outside. If door unlocked then you would not need a key:)

Just getting caught up with the thread. Some interesting points made.

The point made that a new kitten could be used to help the boys deal with the loss of the baby was interesting - do we know when they got that kitten?

Regarding who wears the pants in the family, I still feel it is DB. MOO.

My overall theory is the same:
1) Sunday baby Lisa had a cold at birthday party.
2) Back at the house, she is accidentally overdosed on Tylenol.
3) Parents freak out, and feel this could jeopardize custody of one or both boys. They also can't face their family with their tragic mistake.
4) Parents come up with kidnapping story, not realizing that things would snowball out of control with the media and police attention.
5) JI as part of this story works the graveyard hours, his first time doing so (LE should check with his boss when this idea came about - it should be within 24 hours of the shift.)
6) The clothes/diapers/blanket were burned in dumpster at 2:28 A.M. (apparently by DB)
7) The baby was buried in a nearby location.
8) The cell phone story was relayed AFTER their initial story, on Tuesday when LE asked for the phones. DB was not expecting to be asked for the phones. They got rid of the phones, specifically her phone and JI's phone, plus an old one to craft a story that deflects attention away from the two phones that have evidence of their 2:38 communication.
9) Motive was to ensure they don't lose custody of JI's son, as I suspect his mother wants him.
10) Financial advantages will be tempting to this couple and I would anticipate further exclusives offered to media, etc. and even a book deal down the road.

What can be done?

a) Use recent re-enactment and other evidence of story outnesses (the 2:38 call/text is the biggest one) to GET A CONFESSION.
b) My opinion is that JI will break before DB will. She is "all in" and in Casey Anthony mode, IMO. Whereas with JI, I feel he is more vulnerable to collapse. I recommend putting your hand on his shoulder to get into his world more, get him to look in your eyes when he answers, use a LD as well, and use the best FBI guy available. I would tell him I know it was an accident and that if he works with us, we will work with him, etc. I'd tell him how many mothers are terrified of their baby being abducted around the world right now, and that we need the truth. Yes I would press him. The only way the damn will break is with pressure.
c) Continue to interview DB and work to expose further inconsistencies in her story. Expose them and demand the truth. I would try a female agent.
d) Cadaver dogs used on all areas within 5 mile radius. Include the backyards of family.
But I would do a,b and c first.

MOO.

Regarding your #1... did you see all the photos of the baby at the b-day party... it looked like the sick baby was passed around to everyone at the party... to take a picture with.

First...if my young daughter was sick... I would not take her to a party...let alone let anyone and everyone get there photo taken with her.

And, yet again. why soooo many photos of that baby with other people..it wasn't like it was "her" birthday...

Oh, that's funny! Well, I always heard husbands can get used to anything if they hang around long enough.
If it was a big, crashing noise, I'm sure mine would come in to check. Once my foot slipped and I kind of slid down making a big splash but not much noise, though I did bruise my side a little... he never made a peep. I asked him if he didn't hear the splash, and he said no, he just thought I was having such a great time swimming around. Seriously... it's a big garden tub, but not that big!! Husbands.... can't live with 'em and can't live without 'em!!

Four years ago, my sister's husband heard a bang at the end of the house. Since she always would be looking for things in cupboards or closets, he didn't think much of it. Finally, when she didn't come back, he called and she didn't answer. She was laying on the bathroom floor having suffered a heart attack. She took her last breath right after he found her - she was 68 years old.

...and not even once on national tv have they pleaded for Lisa's safe return. It's not even about Lisa anymore...it's about Debbie's defense.

plenty of video of Lisa's parents begging for her return!

Actually, yes. Little Kienan Hebert was recently returned in Canada after a plea from his parents.

yes he was, but didn't LE know who had him almost from the get go? Maybe the fact that he had been identified by name in the media was an encouraging factor in Kienan being returned.

G'nite all. Prayers when I wake up it will be to a newscast showing a car driving up with Baby Lisa given to her mom's arms and a kidnapper in handcuffs. Now I have to go shut the lights and lock the doors. Yes. Hubby home. LOL

Been gone all day and I'm depressed to see that nothing new has developed and that sweet baby Lisa is not home yet.

Now back to lurking...

They only thing I could think of was that was one they had that really showed her eyes.

Agree. The eyes are one thing that can't be changed.

They didn't "take" her to a party. They HELD the party. It was the other child's birthday.

LE went back to Irwin house today with metal detectors around the property. LE did a re-enactment of how one would enter the house via the computer room window (video taping it from both outside and inside).

That is about it in a nutshell.

Sorry, I don't understand.

Why would anyone bother going through the computer room window when
the front door is unlocked??

How do you get in?:waitasec:

This picture has always left me scratching my head. It is very early pictures right after Lisa went missing. I cannot place who in the immediate family is sitting on the front steps to Lisa's house. It doesn't look like JI to me - but then again my eyes are going blurry.

Wasn't it mentioned that it was him in a hoodie? If not maybe the teen neighbor.[ Hate to start that again though]

I am surprised by how many of us think mom is innocent.

I have been frightened to admit it....but I don't think she is.

OK....now where is the crow?
No crow? Ok, then....I'll take the turducken.

I agree with you. I don't feel like she is innocent. JMO

Why would that be hinky??? Cell phones break or problems all the time. I don't find that hinky at all.

The story of my life!!!!

Actually a poster previously posted the best explanation I've heard for taking the phones

Paraphrasing... Perps used to cut phone lines. Nowdays they take your phones.

It's the same delay tactic it's always been just updated for the times.

My late husband would have definitely awakened me. No doubt in my mind. Not because of the lights being on, but because of the door being unlocked. He would have read me the riot act about that.

Weelllll..you were right. He said that he would have asked me if everything was ok before settling in. He said that Just the door, or Just the light would not have bothered him. But entering the house with the lights on and the door unlocked would have alarmed him.

odd. i honestly never would have thought that! so maybe its not suspicious at all. back to square one. I really dont know what to think!
