I hope they checked out those women who cheated on their husbands:innocent:

I still don't understand how cheating on a husband would translate into kidnapping of a baby.

I don't think I've ever heard of such a young child being kidnapped by a pedophile. Usually the children are at least 4-5 years old.

Unfortunately there are cases...but this is O/T to baby Lisa so I am going to let it go. It's too sick to even think about anyway.

Does anyone remember the Danielle Van Dam case? These parents were crucified until they finally did find the person who took her - David Westerfield - a neighbor.

I remember it all too well. But here's the thing -- DVD was reported missing on Saturday morning, 2/2/2002. David Westerfield was the prime suspect when he returned from his little camping trip on 2/4/2004. The focus on the parents shifted to DW very early on.

And, yes, I do realize they were portayed as bad parents early on with talks of swinging, pot smoking, and having a door in the garage that locked the children in the house. It was very tragic, but I can't think of a missing child case where the parents personal life isn't twisted inside and out in the media.

In all honesty, I think the media is quite lax these days compared to 2002 (where nothing seemed off limits). Looking at this case and the baby Aliyah case, the media isn't digging deep enough. IMHO the mentality seems to be "don't upset the apple cart" instead of focusing on finding the missing child.

That's how I'm perceiving it.

I think the handyman would be traceable if people he worked for paid him by check. MOO.

I would like a tight timeline from lets say... 8am the day of. To include what Lisa and the mom did during the day. i'd like to know what time kid/s out of school. What they had for dinner. what the boys watched for tv. Did mom give Lisa any cold meds? What did she watch that evening. I'd also like to have from LE verification that dad was where he said he was and accounted for during the whole time. Not just that dad has an alibi.
I would also like the spreadsheet for the phones. Times and txts. K too much..?

Me too!! I am also very curious as to what a normal day was like for Lisa and her mother while the boys were at school. Does Deborah belong to any mother's groups? Did she have a weekly lunch date at a restaurant or mall with a friend who also has a baby? Did she take Baby Lisa to a park? I know lots of moms who go to parks to walk while they push their child in a stroller. Just so many things I'd like to know.

FOX is calling him a "neighborhood handyman" right now..

He may be the type of guy that everybody feels sorry for and slips him a few bucks or some food for doing odd jobs. It is entirely possible that he is camping out in the wooded areas. Isn't there an area on the downtown side of the river where homeless are, maybe the stockyard/American Royal area?

Does anyone know what time elementary gets out around there? I wonder if the boys are picked up or take the bus. And then further, if anyone saw Lisa around the time the boys got out/home. It is unreal that not one person has come out and said "i saw Lisa @ 5 pm that day."
Unless I missed the last known sighting of this baby. I know she was at a party Sunday. Then nothing

eta: I am so not sleuthing these poor boys. Just looking into what mom & Lisa could be doing w/ their time.

Can anyone tell me what time dad went to work?

Do we know how long the parents have been dating? When did they move in together? As far as motive potential, I wonder if he wanted a child. Did he feel stuck with her due to an unexpected pregnancy? It is odd that she is still married, yet living with him. I wonder if they moved in together since she became pregnant. Just pondering possibilities. He is oddly unemotional, flat. JMO.

One report says the Ex's of Lisa's Mom and Dad haven't been questioned yet. That seems weird.

OT: I notice a few of our good neighbors to the north posting on this case and want to wish them Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy the special day with your family, friends, and fine food :canada:

I keep seeing people say she could have been taken by a burglar to be sold b/c white blond hair, blue eyed babies bring a hefty price.

My question: How frequent is this done in the US? Why Lisa? There are millions of blond hair blue eyed babies, why was Lisa targeted? I've been trying to find out how common this is, but am not coming up with any statistics. IMO this is the least likely scenario.

So our options being:

1. taken by stranger to raise as their own
2. taken by stranger to be sold or for other illegal activities (including RSO)
3. taken by a friend or family member to raise as their own or to harm Lisa or punish the parents
4. taken by someone familiar with the family to hurt parents (ie. estranged spouse with the thinking "you took my kid, i'll take yours")
5. accidental death covered up by mom or dad
6. mom or dad staged a kidnapping to hide her from the other, (so there will be no custody battle when they split, or any other reason)
7. mom or dad disposed of Lisa for unknown reasons

Any other scenarios I'm missing?

Toby,
I read that a neighbor was over at the house on the afternoon before Lisa disappeared. I think the neighbor and her child came over, and their child played with the boys/watched a movie. Sorry,do not have a link, it is back in this super fast moving thread....MOO

Hello and welcome to WS, pinki.

Another scenario: Handed over to a family member or friend for safekeeping in the event the parents split up. jmo

Deborah's ex is in the military and may not be as readily accessible. Betting the branch of service he is in can and has provided LE with his whereabouts.

As to Jeremy's ex she lives in another town in MO and not much else is known except that Jeremy has full custody of their son.

ETA Welcome to Websleuths :)

Do we have Danielle van Dam general discussion threads here on WS? I searched last night with no luck. I'd be grateful for a link. Sorry for the OT!
