The answer to your question is quite vague. What I gleaned from the news report is that it was someone who would be familiar to the neighborhood.

The FBI showed his photo to neighbors and it was stated he has a criminal background. IMO, le must have a mug shot of him in order to show his photo to neighbors.

Where was it stated he has a criminal background? All I heard Matt Lauer say is "may have a criminal record". Or is it from a different report I didn't see?
LE doesn't necessarily need a mug shot to show people someone's photo, they can access BMV photos and use them.

- LE went door to door "asking about" this dude

- local (local as in what? where does this guy live?)

- hasn't been seen since BEFORE Lisa went missing

- neighbor refers to "somebody that works next door", but with no other context. Unclear if she means the handyman does indeed work next door to Lisa.

- "MAY have" worked in the neighborhood

- "MAY have" a criminal record

Well, statistics will always lean to who has most access to the baby. Parents are statistically the culprits. But, there are always exceptions to everything.

About the only thing i like re this case is not everyone jumped on the "its the mom" bandwagon.

Makes for an easier discussion when its a real debate. no less frustrating though.

Now if LE would act like LE in Kienan's case and give real pressers we might have more to talk about

Read my last sentences...initially easy, but gets harder in the future because of lack of documents.

ETA: Kidnappers, particularly those that want to have the child as their own, rarely think the whole thing through, that's why they're often caught...they usually turn out to not be the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Again, you will get differing opinions on this. I say yes. Someone else might say I am missreading their individual personalities. Who is right? Who knows?

I've only followed one other case on WS--I think someone calling self Cubby moderated It was tightly moderated and comments seemed to stay on subject. Is this a fast moving case as some claim or is it because there are so many tangents? Is it acceptable for a newby to say: can comments please be kept on focus to the case? Is there a way to have conversations about dogs, clowns, etc on private messages but not on this forum? Not wanting to offend but...

That question has been highly debated since day one on these threads.

Some find their behavior suspect, some don't. I m not sure what percentages a show of hands would reveal. But leave it at we are all pretty well split in our opinions of that.

If he is a good handyman, there will probably be people who have his phone number or know how to contact him. When we first moved in here, we asked for the name of a good handyman and we were given the name of one and how to contact him.

I hope that it is affiliated with the family and not someone capitalizing on little Lisa. Her family does not appear to be rich and I see no problem with trying to raise money for a reward. I'm just surprised that no organization has come forward with a reward. Lamar Signs has put up billboards along highways when there is a missing person. I just want to see that sweet baby face with those blue eyes all over the place. If this means individuals donating money/goods/services then so be it.

Krimekat, I've been trying to find transcripts to the whole Judge Jeanine show to no avail. Somewhere in all of the videos about Lisa, the mom says something about the kids being in the bedroom with bunkbeds watching a movie with neighbor kids etc.

Thank you, it's something worth while. I cannot believe mothers would keep children up past 9p on a school night. We need to know who saw Lisa (except Mom, Dad) last . . .

I'll watch or find a transcripts . . . BTW I hate watching video! Love read transcripts -- rarely watch unless you fine people talk about body language.

I'm going to have to dig to find it, but I recall in the context of Gabriel's case reading something about the use of internationally adopted children's IDs. The international children themselves disappear (either into a network of people/families that care for them underground, or perhaps in more sinister ways), which leaves their identities available for use by other children who fit the bill in general appearance and age.
