There were people home in ALL of the recent abductions with children, and older cases as well.

Other than the Klaas case, which was different, younger children like VanDam etc., everyone slept right through the abduction.

We've seen a NUMBER of reasons these guys have abducted the children. But you have to believe someone who abducts a baby, WANTS a baby because they can't speak and they're young enough to change their name, etc.

A few of these cases we've seen, were B&E's that turned into abductions. Meaning, that wasn't the original motive for the break-in, but the opportunity arose and they ran with it. Like Jessica Lundsford. That guy had a record of breakins. A long record. But had only molested one other child prior to abducting Jessica. The other times he just stole things.

YES, I agree 100% it happens way to often,

And I know of burglary's that have happened in broad day light while the family was sitting in the dinning room having dinner...

Oh man, this case is truly making me very upset and worried! I feel so badly for the parents; they seem to be extremely sincere. I guess I understand why the Amber Alert was lifted- without any type of description of an abductor or vehicle, there is nothing to go on... there are, I'm sure, many, many similar-looking (from a distance/through a car window, anyway) baby girls riding in vehicles at this very minute. On the TODAY show this a.m., there was a comment to the effect that the parents had given LE some "9 or 10" names of possible suspects (?)... that seemed VERY odd to me! What does LE know that we don't, I wonder? Also, I agree w/many of you that whoever did this knew the father wouldn't be home from work until the wee hours of the morning. Still, this was a brash kidnapping; someone was pretty confident that he/she wouldn't be caught- I wonder why? The baby could have woken up and cried, one of the THREE other people in the home could have heard something... I pray little Lisa is found alive- and SOON!

I think the perp took the cell phones to keep them from making a call. I bet they are thrown away or dumped somewhere at this point (could be the reason for the searching and re searching of the wooded areas)

Could be possible the perp went in the window and out the front door (thusly why front door was unlocked)

just thinking out loud.

I was shocked that they came up with 9 people as "possible" people who would be involved. I don't think I could come up with 1 in my group of friends/acquaitances. But, then again, when your child is in danger, EVERYONE looks suspicious I would imagine.

I would like to hear more about the lady found dead on the side of the road. moo

Do we know the layout of the house?

Was the kitchen in the backside of the house

and the living room in the front where the front door was and unlocked,

Was Lisa's room the last one on the hall way?

I agree. Even just a 5 minute delay in calling 911 is a head start. Also, if 2 people were involved, one could have tossed the cell phones in a completely opposite direction in order to confuse the investigators.

I wonder if LE was able to get a location on one of the phones? or if they tried.

9 possible suspects.

A group of some sort? Church? Occult related?

I have to say, mom must have been a very heavy sleeper and the boys as well. I previously lived in a home about the size of theirs and if someone opened a window, came in it, took my baby, turned on a lot of lights, took 3 phones of the counter, and left out the front door- there is absolutely no way, that someone in our household either me or one of my kids would not have woken up.. So if this is someone outside the immediate family (the parents do seem very sincere) then maybe it was someone who knew mom and boys were a deep sleepers? Or someone drugged all three?? Seems farfetched, but I am not sure what would explain this.
My hinky meter is in overtime this morning...

Or something that someone in the family was involved in at sometime or another.:twocents:

BBM. I seriously doubt this is the case. More likely, dad listed any and all people he could think of where he had disagreements, or they acted off/odd, or had issues with other family members. There are not occult cults going around and kidnapping babies, just as there are not occult members running daycare centers and molesting toddlers.

Looks to me like a typical 70s ranch layout. I grew up in one similar. Front door entered into living area, past the living area was the kitchen, hallway to the right with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

I wonder if the baby monitor was also disconnected. I'd bet some good money that it was unplugged or turned off knowing now that the cell phones were taken.

This case resonates with me so much because it represents one of my biggest fears. The very idea that you can be going about your hum drum life. Tuck your children into bed, and go to sleep. To have some unknown person come into your home (your HOME!) as you sleep and take your precious child. It is the stuff of nightmares.

I would be hard pressed to come up with 1 person who might want to come and snatch my child in the night. I am sure most of us would. But in these parents shoes, with my child gone, I am betting that I could come up with someone who gave me a hard look at the grocery store. That neighbor down the way who I had a dispute with two years back. That girl I used to work with who seemed to hate me for some reason. My husband's ex gf.

If hard pressed and in this situation. I am pretty sure I could come up with a list of possible people who didn't like me or might wish me harm. Granted, none of these people probably DID me harm. But when pressed for people who didn't like me, these are the sorts of names I would come up with.

Thank you SurfieTx... Wonder why they went out front where the street was and they could have been easily seen and not the back door that goes out to wooded back yard? :waitasec:

Could you explain this more? I think I need more coffee lol.

Good Morning All! Well not good cause this baby is not home yet!

I'm not liking this info re:3 cell phones taken.?? Moms and whose eles. I'm assuming that the dad had his on him. Whose were the other 2? Maybe older siblings of Lisa?
And to me the perp had to know it was dad's 1st night on the job so why would the perp think taking the cell phones would help since dad would b home w/ his @ some point?
Also the cell companies will b able to get info on calls or location, hopefully.

K I'm just gonna sit back & read & pray someone is taking good care of this baby. Hate this feeling.

Baby Lisa's parents were just interviewed this morning. I saw it on KMBC but the video isn't yet up on their website. It was really difficult to watch-- the mother was, understandably, very emotional.

One new piece of information-- their phones were taken as well. The mother said, "So we couldn't call 911." She said there were, I believe, 3 cell phones on the counter that were missing as well.

Wow. Why would they take the 3 cell phones?
