Metal detectors???
Buried phones??
Metal detectors???
I am going to try this again...I am new (returning after a 3 year break) so maybe my opinion is not as well received as others....but that is just what it is...my opinion.
Being from the KC area I can say this story is all over the place...many prayers and thoughts for Baby Lisa as well as the family.
My thoughts on the door being unlocked and the lights on.....when my husband worked the late shift and our kids were young I would occasionally leave the lights on and doors unlocked....perhaps Mom checked on Baby Lisa around 10:30 and then the 5/6 year old woke up or was having a hard time getting to sleep so she took him into her room....thinking she would get him to sleep and then go change laundry or do dishes or something....but because she had been taking care of an sick baby and was exhausted she simply fell asleep...not waking up again until hubby came home. Just a thought.
Additionally, what ever happened to the possible sighting at Love's Truck Stop here in St. Joseph? I have heard on campus that the clerk thought he recognized the child as being Lisa that was with the older couple....that when he spoke the name "Lisa" the child turned around and looked at him and started crying...he called this into the TIPS hotline and 3 hours later the local LE showed up and took the video surveillance tape and sent it to the KCMO LE to check out.....and we have heard nothing from there.
I am still on the fence with the parents...something is off somewhere but so far all I can come up with that can't be explained is that there is a 10 month old little girl missing.
My heart breaks for this family and child....will go back under my rock now and continue with my prayers.
Buried phones??
Wouldn't the ground show signs of being disturbed if something had been recently buried? Seems like they're still looking for phones, but this is odd. They keep circling back to the same things, over and over. What are they looking for?
Sounds even worse. Metal detectors in their back yard??? :banghead:
my kids slept pretty hard when they were sick sometimes after being away coughing
I've left lights on and left doors unlocked, I don't think those things alone are suspicious.
But would a stranger come into a home with the lights still on through the front door? That's pretty brazen, how did they know no one was awake?
Not positive but I think I read Early in the investigation that LE did interview them but I assume they Mom and Dad were with them
And No they can not interview them without Parents consent unless Parents have been formally Charged, (At Least in this county)
I am far from caught up, I'm 2 threads behind, so I'm sure this has already been mentioned.
Several people have questioned if Lisa had a cold got overdosed meds and they covered up her death. Which leads me to why? Who could that benefit?
Then it hit me, what if the boys were playing w/Lisa and she fell and hit her head or in some other way the boys accidentally killed Lisa. As a parent, you would do anything to protect your other two kids. You wouldn't want them to deal with the guilt of killing their baby sister, right? So maybe they covered up her death and think it'll be easier on the boys if their sister was kidnapped?
I may have missed it but since you are from there what do you think happened?
Would they detect cell phones?
Well, if it was a stranger that had been watching the house enough to know the schedule, I could see it. Although according to In da Middle, that would be difficult to do without arousing suspicion in the neighborhood.
Just noodling a bit - the family never returned home after Lisa went missing. They went and stayed somewhere else. Had something happened to Lisa in the home at the hands of the parents, you'd think they'd return and try to hide things that LE might not have seen, or arrange things differently. If things did occur in that small window that we're looking at, that's not much time to go through the house.
First sign of a lie. Mom says she went to bed at 10:30 pm. She doesn't mention that at 2:30 am she was up making phone calls.
You would think that with a daughter 'missing' and police asking questions and accusing that she would be saying "talk to so and so" I talked to them in the middle of the night. If she was innocent.
