I'd scream for my baby if she or he were missing. I think that's a natural reaction.

Yes, of course you would, the baby knows it's name by 10 months old. My stomach is in knots - I look at the pictures of this baby and she always looks sick or frightened. I wish I knew more about the other kids - are they from the same dad? They look darker in the pictures.

the lindberg baby was kidnapped and killed for one

It's speculated that the Lindberg baby kidnapper, climbing down from the ladder, dropped the baby causing severe skull damage that resulted in the baby's death so he ended up just burying the infant, but it doesn't seem like that was the original intent.

Sorry being off-topic.... :)

I'm so happy that your case turned out well. I bet that was the worst experience of your life!

Thank you....I have to say that life does not go back to "normal." Even when they come home. Nothing is ever "normal" again.

seems to me like the mother won't let the dad talk... forget which video - he was addressing the kidnapper... she totally cut him off...

Many are talking of his shift eyes, I am wondering if the Dad himself is realizing that it is quite possible that his wife killed their child? Is that look we are seeing anger/shock???

Or...could it be a look of he knows what really happened and he's seeing how futile this attempt to conceal what happened really is?

Mom seems like a tough cookie and maybe the one who runs the ship in the family, so to speak.

Dad seems to be the "yes, honey" type...

IDK...just the feeling I get from both of them.

Comments on pages have been interesting. From the start there was one comment believed to be from a family member of the mother, he got out ahead making sure his sister didn't look bad in the media of course no way to know this poster was indeed her brother or not so it is rumor and MOO

Then these comments http://www.kctv5.com/story/15642798/authorities-search-joco-landfill-for-missing-baby-lisa

But I guess the parents are just stressed.

Ok, maybe these questions are dumb, but: (1) why would taking the cell phones keep them from calling someone? What I mean is, it would only "hinder" me for about 5 seconds until I could pound on neighbors doors until I got to a phone. Unless they lived in the middle of nowhere, why would an abductor take that kind of time??

ITA. I posted this question earlier. It makes no sense that an abductor would walk into the kitchen, take the phones, then walk into the baby's room and take the baby (or vice versa). It also makes no sense that mom would coincidentally be transferring contacts from one phone to another, and leaving all of the phones on the kitchen counter the night her baby is abducted. Police are onto all of this!

Another thing if she knows what happened with the baby and JI is responsible no wonder she didn't pass the lie detector test. If this is the case, I don't think she can hold it together too much longer.

Signing the media deal seems a quick way to get money. Hope they're not planning on leaving the USA. I also hope she stays alive as she is the key. I personally don't think Dad would break for all the money in the world.

Remember when she explained in the video what a good dad he was,etc and she ended it with a but then changed the subject. I can't get past that right now.

“Our main focus is finding Lisa Irwin, and we hope to continue the cooperative communication that we have had with the parents,” said Sgt. Stacey Graves, a Kansas City police spokeswoman.

Early Friday afternoon, authorities spent nearly two hours looking through trash at a Johnson County landfill at Interstate 435 and Holliday Drive. It was unclear what, if anything, they found.

A team of FBI investigators arrived at the Shawnee landfill at about noon, said Tom Coffman, Deffenbaugh Industries senior vice president.

“They went on landfill property and conducted a search for evidence potentially connected to this case,” Coffman said. The investigators examined a section of the landfill that recently received trash from the family’s neighborhood, he said.

Bridget Patton, a local FBI spokeswoman, said that investigators were conducting a “secondary search” of a particular portion of the landfill.

“That area has already been searched once,” Patton said.

Family members learned of the landfill investigation Friday afternoon.

“We got a couple of telephone calls telling us this was happening and that was the extent of it,” said Mike Lerette, a cousin of Deborah Bradley. “We are in front of the television and seeing the same thing.”

Lerrette said family members hope to make a statement later Friday afternoon.

The article says the mom was the one screaming her name. I don't find that unusual at all. I'd probably check everywhere and anywhere. A 10 month old can crawl pretty fast and hide in the strangest places.

I'd like too know how long before they found her missing was the 911 call made? It was probably posted but can't remember off the top of my head. I'll try to find it.

Oh. It's different if the Mom was screaming her name because she knows the baby isn't with her. But it would be odd for the father to do it before he even checked to see if the baby was with his wife.

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—
The parents of 10-month-old Lisa Irwin arrived at a North Kansas City hotel on Friday evening, saying they appreciated the coverage of the case. An early morning dumpster fire on Tuesday led investigators to search a Johnson County landfill and by late afternoon Friday, the search had moved to the Irwin backyard.

FOX 4 will have the latest with the parents at FOX 4 News at 5 p.m.

OT. but they can't they be refurbished and sent to soldiers overseas? If interested check , maybe, at a post office. We have donated a few extras via some envelopes we received in the mail with advertisements.

this statement still wonders me:
"scrambled around to find a phone to call 911".........????....which one did they find and use? .......maybe this has been answered backthread...I'm reading backward now.....

Yes, that is a good question...does anyone know what phone the family used to call 9-11?

Plus (and I'm sure this has been said already)...why were all three phones on the counter? Did the dad not take his cell phone to work? My husband is one of the most technically illiterate people I know (I say that with a lot of love), and even he takes his phone when he leaves the house -- especially if he's going to be gone at night (and MOST especially when our daughter was a baby!).

Please! Do not agree with a Duke fan. Ever!

The word "Duke" is forbidden to be uttered in my house. My children know, it will result it removal of all their favorite toys and no movies for a WEEK!

shudder....!

Duke

I can't imagine sleeping in a house full of kids and not keeping a phone next to the bed, when dad is at work, personally...especially in the middle of the night and one is sick. JMO

supposedly they will be on Jude JP on saturday (most likely were at the hotel to tape it)

they are not working with their local media any more ((((have no clue why they would do that!)))) and are only working with national media

Maybe because it pays. A family member did use the term "deal" so I take that to mean they negotiated money.

We live in a somewhat divided household....Hubby is a tarheel....I'm a State fan. He told me when we got married that he could handle that....as long as I never pulled for Duke. LOL

LOL!

This is so off-topic it's pathetic... Mods, feel free to spank me.

We have three rules in our house (each trumps the previous):

1. Always root for the state school over the private school.
2. Always root for a North Carolina team over a team from any other state.
3. Regardless of Rules 1 and 2, always root for whoever is playing Duke.

Now...all that said... "Honk if you love Carolina! Moooo if ya'll fum State."

:)

As much as it pains me to say this......babies are attractive to some pedophiles. It's just not that unusual. There was even a new father caught raping his baby in the hospital just hours after her birth.

There is no limit to the horror perpetrated on children in this world, and no child is too young to be a victim.

I think I have to step away again after that one!!! Please , don't tell me that is TRUE!!!!????
The world is totally MAD!!!!
Now I have that picture of Lisa and someone like that in my mind. I KNOW, I know........it happens.........makes me sick! MAYBE , just maybe , someone has her that is NOT THAT depraved!!!???

Oh yes, I know first hand....have had a missing child for almost 4 days. It was horrible. I spent every minute in my car driving....or on the phone helping LE track him down. I was medicated and had no sleep.

And of course, not everyone responds the same way to tragic, life-altering events. But there is something here in the dad....don't know what it is. Maybe the weight of the world....

I just "feel" like he knows something on mom and he is in quite the spot....but heck, I could be totally wrong.

Oh my goodness! I can't imagine. :candle: I'm glad your nightmare ended after four days.
