How is LE demonizing the parents? The only thing I have heard LE say is that they want to talk to more to the parents and it hasn't happened, and that they have stopped cooperating. In my book, if one if not talking with police, they really can't be cooperating. What else has LE done to demonize the parents? The parents are out there saying what they claim LE said to them...LE is not doing anything like that.

We differ in that. The only way I can keep an open mind here - just speaking for myself now - is by defending the parents.

Total agreement with second sentence, however. That is, in effect, a large part of defending someone in a case like this.

Well said. I do tend to defend the family when I read something that is totally out of line. We should all be aware that making blanket statements about someone's reason for doing or saying something is wrong. We don't know what is in their minds. Posting something as a fact that is based only on opinion or speculation is wrong as well. We should make it a point to say we think or believe it, or it's opinion, rather than just saying it like it's a proven fact. That starts rumors flying and pretty soon it's widely accepted as true when it could be totally false.
Not directed at anyone in particular, just saying.

Thanks for your response to my inquiry re: where in California the "sighting" took place. I did google it and apparently the family member (related to Jeremy) who mentioned the sighting to the local media "did not elaborate" on his statement.

Yes, I puttered around thinking maybe a local California media source might have it, but struck out. (So far.)

Another thing to consider. I have a, well, not a great cell phone provider. People have been known to receive my texts hours after I send them, if at all.

I think we have the same carrier. I got one from Mom this am that was sent at 8:30 pm yesterday...........Happens all the time.:banghead::banghead:

Probably so, though it's worth remembering that 3620 North Lister is within 20-25 minutes of Kansas City International Airport.

I would think LE could obtain phone records very quickly in the case of a missing baby, or as quickly as state law allows.

As far as cutting phone wires...I believe that was done mostly so residents could not call LE while intruders were inside the home...taking cell phones on the way out does not seem the same at all to me. JMO

Personally, I believe LE. I think it may be a case of one of the parents calling somebody in LE briefly and expressing their ire. That, to me, and I believe to LE, is not the same kinda talkin' that LE is talkin' about. It just doesn't count.

I find it suspiciously odd that they have not hired an attorney yet. It's like they are running their own show - putting out information and controlling the questions from media by doing exclusives. All that's missing is the attorney....what gives?

Could this be a set up? After seeing the money generated by the KCA case? Will little Lisa be found safe and sound in a week or two? More exclusives and then a book/movie deal? The family sure speaks out a lot for them - maybe the family helped set something up? All just my opinion and theory, of course.

This is a really good point. I don't know what the real deal is with any text supposedly sent or received, but with texts especially the time stamps and/or time of receipt can be misleading.

BBM True, but then we don't know when the cel phones were taken. I think it more likely, if an abductor took them, that the abductor took possession of them upon entering the home, to prevent anyone waking up from getting off a call to 911 while abductor was still in the home.

But we really have no clue when they were taken and why.

I think the chances of that are nil to none if all they have is the fact that there was a couple and their child resembled baby Lisa. How many children have been claimed to be Madeline McCain? And Lisa is a baby, so even more babies resembling her are out there.

Maybe the phones were gotten rid of to hide text messages. Of course they can be deleted, but is anything ever really deleted? There are no records of text messages, as far as I know, except on the phone itself. I know KCA's texts were found, but I don't recall whether from her actual phone, or in documents.

It was mentioned earlier that the service providers actually do keep the content of the texts on record (and a poster gave an example of going to Sprint due to a daughter's phone having been stolen, and them bringing up recent texts right there on their computer!), though for how long they keep them, I don't know.

I have this same problem, also my daughter. We are on different very popular carriers. I would say that if this was the case the sending phone would offer the clues to when it was actually sent. I have a problem with this "text" that it hasn't been mentioned other than on FOX and as rumor. It may just be rumor and someone "close to the investigation" seen it and ran with it.

Nothing is stopping them from getting out there in front of the cameras and telling the truth.
