I don't understand why it would take three weeks to air the segment. Why January 2nd? Why can't they air it on December 26, for example? Do they already know what "news" is going to be happening, in advance? Did the Irwins or one of their friends ask for it be aired on that date?

I brought my reply to this thread because the thread you are asking questions on is a "No Discussion" one.

I'm not sure why they're waiting until Jan 2 to air the Lisa Irwin show. Maybe it's because of the holiday's. Or maybe it's not uncommon for them to delay airing some programs. I would be surprised if a national show like the "The Kelly File" would let the quest's decide when a show will air.

I'm not sure what kind of news they could be aware of in advance. Do you have any ideas what it could be?

I am curious why Baby Lisa's parents are now coming to media...

color me jaded... But I really don't see what new information they will bring out...

I would rather LE go to the media to share new developments....

But... Getting Baby Lisa's name in the public eye again is good...

and... Maybe there will be new developments told by the parents, after all...

JMO...

Question: I wonder if the parents will be accompanied by their lawyer?

Maybe it's the other way around and the media came to them. I have no idea if there's anything new that will be released but I do agree with you that it's good this gets Lisa's name out in the public.

Based on posts from yesterday, it seems like everyone in the parent's circle thought the show would air last night. Doesn't seem like the parents requested it. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding with Megyn Kelly's people.

On Twitter, their lawyer Picerno said he attended the show but didn't make the final cut. Bill Stanton and the CEO of the Qverity company will appear with the parents. BS mentioned in the beginning of the case that he would be putting together a team of experts. Perhaps they are going to speak about their investigation/thoughts on the case.

I think it's great Lisa will be getting national exposure again. I hope for some quality tips.

Why would the media come to them? The last time the national media mentioned the case was October 2013. It is not around the time of the anniversary, either. I think if the media came to them, they would have aired the segment sooner than three weeks from now. I think the parents contacted the media, and the new "development" is going to be something about the Qverity thing. They probably needed some sort of "hook" to get on TV again.

I have a feeling this is going to be similiar to "Lisa could be the little blonde Roma girl in Greece!" and that whole debit card fraud issue. We will be scratching our heads when it is over.

Deborah Bradley must be trying to grab some cash. Wouldn't surprise me to see a ******** thing with baby Lisa's name attached. Bradley knows damn well what happened to Lisa. She (DB) doesn't deserve any air time to spew her fictitious account. JMO of course.

It might just be a repackaging of mostly old stuff with a very brief update to have "in the can" so that Fox News can broadcast it while Megan Kelly takes time off work over the holidays.

"In the can" refers to "in the (film) canister," I think, from the old days of TV.

I think probably a rehash and nothing new will come from the appearance/interview. Anything which gets Lisa's name and image in the MSM again is a good thing IMO.

I had to step back from posting on this case but Lisa's remains one of the cases close to my heart. Whenever I see renewed activity in her case discussion it gives me hope. No matter the opinions on who is responsible for her being missing, whether I agree or disagree with that POV, I am thankful that she is not forgotten and people still have her in their hearts.

It is apparent this isn't urgent news or I would think it would be all over the networks and not waiting until January 2015. It also isn't in the news in the Kansas City area that I have seen and I have been checking.

The only thing that would be Breaking News is Debbie and Jeremy talking or they found Lisa.

Everything stated is IMO!

You could be right. If Lisa's family did contact the media and got a show to air their story I think that it's a good thing.

I have no idea if your right about the three week "delay" telling us how this all came about. For all I know three weeks from taping to airtime is not unusual and therefore not a delay.

I'm just glad that Lisa is getting some attention in MSM. JMO.

I agree, tlcya.

Just laying down some information here. Would be happy to provide a link for anything mentioned below.

What have Deborah and Jeremy done to help find Lisa?

In the early stages of the investigation, they signed consent forms for searches of their home, shed, cars, work-van, camper and computer. They allowed police unfettered access to their property. They allowed police to bring cadaver dogs into their house. They allowed police to collect hair samples and fingerprints. They consented to buccal swabs for themselves and their children. They volunteered to take polygraph examinations. They allowed police to collect elimination smell swabs from them for specially trained search dogs (FYI, DB's brother PN also consented to this). They allowed access to Lisa's pediatrician records. Lisa's brothers were interviewed on the first day, one boy for 30 and the other boy 50 minutes. The brothers were interviewed again on November 11th 2011. Lisa's parents were interviewed extensively at the police station early on. They were interviewed by police again in person around the time of the Dr.Phil show. At one point Deborah gave investigators more than 100 pages of handwritten notes and other material that contained her recollections from the night Lisa vanished and other details. The parents say they have had ongoing telephonic communication with police and FBI since Lisa went missing. On the one year anniversary, police said communication with the parents has been ongoing but they would like to sit down for an interview with Deborah one-on-one. In the 2 year anniversary press release, KCPD did not request another sit down interview with Deborah. Shortly after the 2 year anniversary, Chief Forte indicated that there is no need to speak with Deborah one-on-one again. They have done many media interviews- in my opinion they have done just as many as other parents of missing children, and in some cases more. Lisa's mother maintains an official website for Lisa. They have mailed out bumper stickers, flyers, and other awareness items all over the world. Their SUV has a large decal on the back window, reminding people that Lisa is missing. They have held numerous public and private vigils for Lisa over the past two years. They worked with NCMEC to have Lisa's age progression photo generated and released as soon as possible.

I don't know anything about her getting paid. If you can post something that supports that contention that would be great. I'm not sure what the **** are about.

I would think that the people who think Deborah Bradley is responsible for Lisa's disappearance would welcome the chance to watch the show and tear apart everything she has to say. JMO.

I think it's great news that Lisa's parents are appearing again on a national media program. The reason doesn't matter to me.

I echo askfornina's sentiment. .

Thank you for posting this. You did an excellent job of listing all of the things that Lisa's parents have done to show that they are trying to find their daughter.

In the early stages of the investigation, they signed consent forms for searches of their home, shed, cars, work-van, camper and computer. They allowed police unfettered access to their property... They allowed police to collect hair samples and fingerprints.

this ^^, among other statements imo, is misleading. the first search of the house had "limited consent" by the parents and LE then had to request a warrant for the "unfettered access" and to collect later samples. "allowed" imo, is something other than court ordered to give access due to a signed warrant:

The court document also indicated that Lisa's parents, Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, restricted police access to the home.

"The only areas extensively processed for DNA and fingerprints during the consent were the baby's bedroom and possible points of entry," the document states.
"The extent of the search had been limited in nature with consent" of the parents, police stated in the request for the search warrant.

The police request for the warrant said, "A more extensive and intrusive search needs to be completed at the property where the baby was last accounted."

I think it's clear that LE searched the Irwin home when Jeremy called 911 after he came home from work and found that Lisa was missing. With the homeowners consent LE used a HRD dog that gave a positive hit in the parents bedroom. LE then used that hit to get a warrant that allowed them to do a more extensive search of the Irwin home.

Nothing was found during those searches that show Lisa is dead or that her parents are responsible for her disappearance. JMO.
