I think he automatically gets life with the first degree charge. Again I think the jury is tasked with figuring out how many years for the dangerous weapon part....but I could be wrong.

So incredibly sad for her as well.
I’m confused over the sentencing. Will see what you have to say about it after you get to that part.
Will have to wait and hear

I think you are correct. Life plus 20?

Son's Age?
I did not know she had a son, oh so sad. ...
@usnuzuloose sbm I had not followed case & not seen much of trial until now, but missed any mention of her son.
How old? Young enough to be Addie's? Was it mentioned or estab'ed that her son was Addie's?
Watson, 35 y/o in April 2018. Addie, now 54 y/o, so then 51 y/o. Def said he "dated Watson for seven years."* bbm

Not saying anything to reflect negatively on victim Watson, but could the son's paternity (either way, def. was or was not bio father) - have been part of Addie's thought process in deciding to cause this tragic death.

Regardless imo jury reached the right decision. RIP Molly Watson.

* Three years later, trial starts for Monroe County man charged in shooting death

The son is not Addie's. His last name is different than Molly's and the letter that was read in court was definitely written by at least a teen or older IMO.

@Shelby1. Thx for your reply. I'm planning to watch courttv.com summaries soon.

He worked with criminals , I guess he thought he knew how to get away with it. He will now be joining the inmates behind the bars instead of guarding them

Her son was a special needs child. That really upsets me.

Wow -- at [12:48] you will see an image of the application for marriage license for James Addie and Molly Watson. If you look at block 6, "Number of this Marriage", Molly would have been Addie's fifth wife! In blocks 7a and 7b, for "Last Marriage/Date Ended", it states that his last marriage ended in divorce on 10/2017. [What a colossal liar.]

It would have been Molly's second marriage.

CTV interviewed Molly’s brother
He said Molly paid for all their trips to Cancun , etc.
He said Molly even paid for JAs cell phone!
The brother was upset that the above was not mentioned, but he understood.
Brother also said JA brought Molly a milkshake ( 3 mo before her murder) which made her sick...The doctor said possibly mold was in it. Anyway brother thought that was a test run by JA. That was also something brother wished had come in.
Brother said Molly lived with her parents and when JA would come over he would not talk to Molly’s dad...cold stand offish. JA would just go back to Molly’s room.He said something about a joint account that Molly (only )was always putting money IN and that was the “account” evidently the wedding 4K was paid with ....

Ugh...JA was a monster!
MOO
