Missouri mom accused of starving 1-year-old for nearly 2 days before child died – blamed fatal neglect on ‘migraine’

Alyssa Wehmeyer, 21, was arrested on Tuesday and slapped with child abuse charges after authorities learned the cruel mom didn’t feed her child for at least 43 hours before the toddler was found dead, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

It had been nearly 19 hours since the child's diaper had been changed and they had "severe blisters" on their buttocks from a diaper rash, authorities stated. It was determined the child had been left unattended in their crib for almost 19 hours, per the documents.

the 43 hours is based upon the mother's statements. The hospital found evidence of malnourishment which probably was an ongoing long term situation. This was probably a case of chronic neglect IMO.

Looks like her OWN needs, including food, were taken care of, along with booze and cigarettes no doubt.
She didn't want that child. She probably sat there collecting benefits and using them to get eyelashes.
Now her benefits will be taken away so she probably figured, she'd get rid of her money ticket.
Well, now she'll get to enjoy prison as someone who killed her kid.

What’s especially unbelievable is this “mother” claims that she took 3 Excedrin and then passed out asleep for so long she was unable to feed her child or change a diaper. Excedrin in the U.S. contains at minimum 65 mg of caffeine per pill— so she would have had at minimum almost 200 mg of caffeine before napping. You are much more likely to have trouble sleeping at that dose than the opposite.

She didn’t even attempt to create a believable story. Not that it matters one way or another, but it’s just laughable how ridiculous her excuse is.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you have teenage parents, like Stupid Casey Anthony, with no money or job or education or skills, no savings, nothing. You don't want kids? there's birth control, abortion or adoption.

I wouldn't treat ANY animal like that, much less a little vulnerable baby. If you don't like kids, then use protection or get spayed or neutered. Or just don't have sexual relations. That poor child didn't deserve that!
