Reverse means another person points the pistol at you and pulls the trigger, as opposed to you putting the pistol to your temple and pulling the trigger. I had never heard of this before, but that's the story.

I'm not so sure. Maybe he's a lesser risk now that he's out awaiting a trial, but JMO, he's a long-term risk. Violent guy with a very bad temper. I'd be willing to bet there are other instances of violent behavior in his past, possibly even while on the force. They're just not well known. Add that to probable issues with addiction/alcohol abuse, he seems like a risk. It would be interesting to know a little more about his background, dating history, relationships with women, etc.

Something about him made the victim end a relationship with him and marry someone else. JMO

We don't have any facts. I would be interested in evidence that Alix was actually in the apartment when she was shot.

If we don't believe the story presented, then, I doubt everything.

I guess that for their story to work, her fingerprints would have to be on the gun, since I believe he said she had attempted to fire it prior to his final shot.

There are a lot of explanations for her prints on the gun. They could have been showing it to her, as a gun for sale.

There's NO reported evidence KA and defendant had a romantic relationship. In fact, just the opposite. KA's mother gave a television interview (posted up thread) complete with the wedding pictures -- citing that her daughter married the love of her life. It appears she was engaged prior to the rookie shooter joining the force (2017).

You'll have to search for yourself. I'm out of this discussion for now. It's a difficult situation, very tragic and awkward to discuss. JMO, some good will come out of eventually having a public discussion about this and related topics.

Most sincere apologies. My post is being removed. I did not state nor imply that the victim was having an affair with NH. I don't believe she was. I do hope part of the investigation involved gathering evidence to see if she had been assaulted, however.

I sure hope you are right. I have feeling there is more to this case though. Much more. That's what makes it so scary.
