Found Deceased MO- Phillip Bartz, 79, Rockville, 2 June 2019

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office has issued an Endangered Silver Advisory for a missing man with dementia and depression.

Phillip Bartz was last seen around 6:00 a.m. in the 2500 block of northwest Route H.

Bartz is a white male, age 79, 5 foot 3 inches tall, 130 lbs, grey hair, blue eyes-- wearing a long sleeved plaid shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes with buckles.

Bartz drives a Charcoal Gray 2008 Ford F250 bearing Missouri, 75A1YG .

Search continues for 79-year-old Missouri man with dementia, missing since Sunday morning

• He may have a black ball cap that says ROTERT in bold.
• He wears glasses and is balding.
• He walks with a bad step and bent over composure and his hands are crippled from a farming accident.
• The truck has several dents, a full grill and bumper guard, as well a black tool box and air compressor in the bed.
• His family says he was last seen Sunday morning around 7 a.m. on H Hwy, south of Appleton City, Missouri. This is approximately 10 miles south of 52 Hwy and 20 miles east of Interstate 49.

The flood waters are very high in this area. St. Clair County has the Sac and Osage Rivers and they are very high. It's possible he became disoriented with water over the road and was swept off.

Thanks PommyMommy for alerting us to this case from over at JR's thread! Mr. Bartz, too, reminds me of someone dear to me. I will be praying for him to be found safe! Scary about the flooded road conditions around there.

• They are no longer looking for Phillip.
• It is not the conclusion that they wanted but they finally have some answers.
• They would appreciate privacy as they mourn.

I haven't seen anything from LE or in MSM yet. This was just posted on the missing page about 25 minutes ago.

UPDATE: The Silver Advisory for Mr. Philip Bartz has been cancelled. Unfortunately, the body of Mr. Bartz has been located on June 13, 2019. St. Clair County deputies were called to a location with information concerning Mr. Bartz around 4 p.m. Evidence at the scene led deputies to a pond. The body of Mr. Bartz, and the vehicle, were recovered from the pond. The family of Mr. Bartz has been notified.
