Bassem sounds so frustrated that he can't get a rise out of any of these officers. He's all tongue tied. I'm a little embarassed for him

Bassem's vitriolic display, knowing he was perfectly safe as he spewed his venom, was hard to watch. Bravo to those officers who showed such amazing self-control. I don't see the wisdom in LE allowing the agitated protesters to get so close to the police line, especially with at least 3 very young children along as human shields.

First sign in Spanish I've seen at a #Ferguson protest.

Sounds like some protesters felt threatened by other protesters' antics even before last night's. I hope police remove any children under 15 from the crowds today if the thought of using tear-gas becomes a possibility.

Bassem is live

Bassem's importance as live-streamer has markedly risen as two of his cohorts have been outed as frauds and fled the field: Mustafa Hussein, aka Theodore Barrett, and CJ Gagne, aka AnonOpsPro, the very tall white guy who was always in the thick of things until fired a week ago for lying about his background.

I'm glad I will be out and about today and not able to pay much attention to this. Hate and ignorance disguised as American spirit. The Ferguson agitators have banded with some of the most vile filled extremist and anti-American organizations they could find to bring "bodies" together to appear as though a bunch of people care about MB or VM or anyone else for that matter. I feel really bad for the good people of St. Louis, who work so hard to try to keep their city from desending into another Detroit. They should be banded together to rejoice in the American pasttime of baseball, cheering on their beloved Cards. But instead, they have to deal with vile and racist chants, rhetoric, chants, slogans and signs - reminding them all that if they are white or successful or peace loving people then THEY are the problem as opposed to thugs and gangbangers in their streets. They have chosen to take the side of the thugs instead of the peaceful citizens of their community.

I believe that's Bassem with the camera and mike, calling the cops women, scared mf'ers... this should NOT be legal!

Speech is legal, unless it's the "Fire! in a theater" sort. But why were Bassem et al allowed to scream prolonged abuse within an arm's reach of LE? I'm hoping LE are recording all of this for use against the worst agitators later on, i.e. to show a pattern at trial, because nothing else makes sense to me.

Thanks is not enough for your post, this is exactly how I feel. The actions of the protester's just sicken me.

I will be watching a GS play football in just a little bit.

If think if the protestors are trying to prove a point it is lost. LE is not responding in a negative manner even though being severely taunted by protestors. jmo

Group of the central #Ferguson protesters jumping up and down and revving crowd up at front of March line.

A note on demographics: This crowd is quite a bit whiter, on the average, than the crowds in Ferguson in the week or so after Brown's death.

Seeing some police on bikes now, as people are preparing to march, but everyone seems calm. #fergusonoctober

Why aren't verbal threats considered assault? And what about invasion of personal space? I find it disgusting that the police have to endure this abuse by bully protestors. Looks more like harassment than peaceful protest. Threatening officers' families, not fair game imo.
