IS this chat room connected to WS? I have not a clue.
Is the chat safe security wise?

No, it is not connected. You would have to contact the administrator of the site to ask questions regarding the room.

Questions re

"Berhe Beyent, the store's manager, said, “Like six minutes after I sold him a sandwich, he got shot. ...
He wasn't armed when he was here. He didn't have a hoodie
.”"
http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na...oting-of-black-man-20141009-story.html#page=1

1. Has anyone seen report of times of sandwich purchase and shooting? Link pls. Was it six minutes?

2. Can anyone post a link to dress code prohibiting south side residents from CCW unless they are wearing or carrying a hoodie?
Just wondering because, seems imo, many types of clothing could conceal various sorts of weapons:
pistols, revolvers, knives, brass knuckles, hand grenades, Molotov cocktails (unlit), etc.

Thx in adv.

Oh now this is a cute one I haven't really heard yet..."I've got my hands on my head...please don't shoot me dead...." Catchy!

All that poetic promise...going to waste...

So did this guy pat him down, that he knew he didn't have a gun?

Well I think I got into the chat from the iPad. I didn't get any security warnings. I have no idea what to do from there. Anyone ever use it before?

Yes... you just type in the little box and hit enter and it goes in the big box (the room)

My computer gave me a security warning and wouldn't connect. Anyone else have this problem?

We had somebody, popsicle, go through the entire process to log into the chat and it doesn't work properly. As this chat site is not connected to Websleuths, just the site members used for their chat, to correct any problems logging in or whatever, will have to be dealt with through that website. If any member would like to go through the process and see if they can figure out what the deal is, they're welcome to do it on their own.

So at this time, I guess there is no site, once we've locked the thread, to congregate for a chat. We will try to keep the thread open late into the evening, but we are locking the thread when there's no moderator on duty.

If anyone has any questions, please contact me or any other moderator by pm.

I don't see how that is possible. The ankle monitor is supposed to insure that one does NOT leave their home. Going to the corner market for a sandwich is not permissable when under house arrest. I wonder what the lawyers reasoning is? Because I don't get it. House arrest means 'house arrest.' It doesn't mean 'house and the corner market' arrest.

ITA. (Is there a way we could trademark that BBM question? :D )

I don't think it will work for me from the iPad. I'll just hang with you folks till Lamby closes the bar down. Lol

All that poetic promise...going to waste...

The other night when a group of the younger protesters were chanting and dancing, some of them were dancing with such abandonment and joy (and talent!). They could have just have well been chanting "fluffy bunnies, piggies, and puppies" from the looks on their faces instead of the hateful, vile stuff they were spewing. All I could think of was what a waste of talent and passion it was. Too bad they can't manage to channel that talent and passion into something constructive.

Bassem is streaming

Starting his weekend early, eh? Gee. Too bad I won't be available to listen until later tonight. (cough cough).

ETA: nothiefsallowed is up and running too (probably because you-know-who mentioned above is streaming).

Well isn't that sweet. The protesters are singing (um...chanting) in the rain. Suggested new chant:

Rain stay so the protesters can't play!
