They are growing very frustrated because they can't seem to get a rise out of ANY of these officers no matter what they do! How annoying that must be when you can spit at, hurl insults, swear at, threaten and do everything in your power to get some kind of documentable reaction from the police. It's so difficult to do, that some of them are forced to commit an actual crime in order to get their attention. And even then, they are typically just arrested, cuffed and brought to jail. Or they must resort to just flat out lying or simply making up stories.

The fact of the matter is that if you don't commit a crime, the liklihood of being beaten by a police officer is relatively non-existant. If you are accused of a crime, don't resist, don't smacktalk, and don't assualt or shoot at the officer and guess what...you're gonna be fine!

And yet, when you are watching the live chats in the streams, there are always 'reports' of protestors being 'beat down' and 'strangled' by vicious cops. I never hear or see anything more about it though. Remember all the chatter about Bella being on 'the way to the hospital' after her arrest? And she spoke to a streamer right afterwards and said she was 'pulled' from the car, forced to shut down her stream, her ID was grabbed from her...NONE OF THAT HAPPENED because she was still streaming when they were pulled over. We saw exactly what really happened. The police were so nice they had honey dripping from their badges. lol :cop:

How long will the protesters be allowed to have their tents and other crap strewn all over the college campus?

http://www.slu.edu/10_10_faqs ... Questions/Answers re the "camp" at SLU seems to indicate there is no camp - just SLU students and their "guests" who must be accompanied by a student at all times. Obviously imo, parents are less sanguine about the situation than reporting suggests.

I am looking at it...it's a camp and she told this student they had the president of the college permission.

I can understand the protests in Ferguson over the MBrown case as there aren't many facts out there. We sleuth here so we're more up on what's what but not the average Joe in that area.

What in the Sam Hill are they protesting about with VMeyers? Rumors? Cops being shot at? Sandwiches?

Bella needs to shut up. This is a private college correct? Another student now.

  • #751
They just wasted somebody and you want us to be patient?

IDK for sure. Like you, I wonder what LEO saw.
IOW, even if Vonderrit's monitor & gun were 'concealed' & not noticeable to us civ's, maybe alert an LEO could detect one or both.

Is it poss LEO saw --
--gun 'print' (bulge, shadow) underneath Vonderrit's shirt, at waistband or pocket, however it was carried?
--ankle 'print' (bulge, shadow) underneath Vonderrit's pants, down toward hem?

Assuming this LEO saw either monitor or gun or both, is that sufficient cause to stop?

Is it necessary for LEO to know exact terms of monitor use to have reason of violation of terms?
Does seeing 'print' of gun (or gunlike shape) under clothing give LEO cause to ask to see CCW permit?

Just wondering. Anyone?

ETA: I see some of this was discussed after reedus23" post, but looks like no definitive answers.

According to the presser today, and earlier reports, the officer turned around and was going to drive past them again, because he thought they looked suspicious. Before he could say anything to them, they bolted and ran.

When they ran, all in different directions, ONE of them was holding his waistband, and the officer thought it looked like a gun, so he chose to chase that runner. It was HIS OBLIGATION as an officer, to chase him once he saw that he was possibly armed and was fleeing.

One of the press asked a follow up, and said ,lots of young men have to hold their pants up when they run, so are you going to chase down every one of them that hold their waistbands?

The spokesman replied that officers can usally tell the difference between someone holding up their pants and hiding a gun, but he added that VM was well known to the local officers, and that might have added to his knowledge. Then she jumped on that, and asked something [ couldnt hear her well] like ' did the officer specifically stop Vonderritt cuz he knew him?' and the officer backpedaled and said absolutely not.

But anyway, it seems to me, from reading between the lines, since VM has some serious priors, and the latest included a high speed car chase, and weapons, that the officer was familiar with the three teens walking that night. And when they took off running he probably knew they were armed or holding drugs, or there'd be no reason to run. jmo

This looks like how the street grates start looking in DC when the weather starts turning cold. I am not kidding.

"By allowing demonstrators to remain on campus is the University taking a political stand?

No. Many of the demonstrators are SLU students who have a right to remain on campus. The rest are guests of the students and are accompanied at all times while on campus."
....................................................................................................................................................................
The students' "right to remain on campus" shouldn't include camping out with unvetted "guests" in tow or allowing them into residence halls imo. SLU must have a huge endowment to cover the risks involved in that scenario.

Welllllll people could teach their kids to pull their pants ABOVE their azzes. And how about that little thing called not running away from LE.

RebelutionaryZ is interviewing one of them

The protesters should be ashamed of themselves for cussing at, yelling at, spitting at and threatening LE. They couldn't be worse examples for their kids. IMO they are nauseating. Their way of protesting reeks of ignorance and hate.
