Yeah, I tried to go back to sleep after reading her articles and posting this, but I just got progressively more awake questioning the wording and everything on the articles.
I wish they would do away with reporting kids this young as "runaways". I feel like that automatically alienates half of the few people who might take interest almost immediately. I have yet to hear of one 13 year old that just left one day and lived happily ever after in a new life. Maybe that's what they think will happen, but as they are literal children it's not ever the outcome.
And "possibly endangered?" My magic 8 ball says any 13 year old walking around kc for 24 hours alone is absolutely endangered! I hope she is home safely the next time I see her name in the news. Maybe I'm just extra angry being awake an hour before my alarm, but it just doesn't sit well at all.
