GUILTY MO - Randy Stone, 42, murdered, Independence, 31 March 2010

It definitely does not seem right.

They reported on the news tonight that her children testified today and asked for leniency for their mother because they didn't want to lose both parents. I thought that was pretty strange because I couldn't imagine the children being very old. I just checked and they are 18 and 21. For some reason, I was picturing young children.

That is an odd request by the 'kids.' If my mom had my father killed, I doubt I would want her around to 'parent' me much. JMO

I heard on the news this morning that video of David Love's eulogy is going to be released to the public next week. Very interesting.

...KMBC?s Peggy Breit reported that prosecutors agreed to limit its prison recommendation for Teresa Stone to a maximum of 10 years. The usual punishment for a conviction on conspiracy to commit murder charge is five to 15 years. She is free on bond until her sentencing in mid-June.

Randy Stone's mother declined to make any comments on the sentencing yet. Stone's cousin said the 10-year maximum sentence isn't enough.

I don't get it either. :banghead:

The Kansas City Star is two days into a lengthy, six day accounting of this murder:

Part one: A story of couples, success, faith and murder
A respected insurance agent, his beloved wife and their charismatic pastor: This
tale of sex and murder seems like a movie but played out for real in Independence.

Part two: In the David Love murder case, a passionate, hidden relationship surfaces

I haven't started it yet but it looks good. Much to read about a particularly seamy case.

From the second article;

As they sought to understand their love, David Love reminded Teresa Stone of the biblical King David, Israel’s warrior king who demonstrated that no man’s depravity was beyond God’s forgiveness.

He was not even above murder, the pastor observed. King David, for example, orchestrated the death of Bathsheba’s husband, Uriah, so he could take her as his wife.

“And God still blessed him,” David told Teresa.

Doesn't anybody get smitten any more?

God also took their son because of what they did.
