Hayti Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a 58-year-old Rodney R. Heathcock of Hayti. Rodney has been recently diagnosed with early onset dementia.

The last time friends and family have seen Rodney was on Tuesday July 18th. Neighbors stated he mentioned going somewhere in Arkansas.

Family is not aware of any one in Arkansas he would travel to.

Heathcock does not have a vehicle or cell phone.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Pemiscot County Sherriff's Office at 573-333-4101.

I hope that Rodney is found and returned to his family. Based on his picture, I assumed he was a motorcycle rider. But apparently, he had no transportation. I suspect that he walked away and got lost. There is some rough terrain and bodies of water around there. A younger man, Marc Fullerton went missing in that same area in June 2020. He's never been found.
