[h=3]Major Case Squad activated after human remains found in Imperial[/h]Early Friday afternoon, the body of a victim was discovered in the 800 block of Sulphur Springs Road in Imperial. Police said that two quarry workers were cleaning the area when they found a burned body of a woman around 2 p.m.

Authorities are attempting to identify the person found by searching missing person cases in Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

The victim had a gold capped front tooth, was possibly wearing green sweatpants, a green bath robe and a long-sleeved shirt, and was about 5’9 in height.

Investigators were also revisiting open missing persons cases but found no matching descriptions as of Friday night.

It's so helpful to know the race, even though it is an alleged social construct. Makes identification so much easier. IMO of course.

IMPERIAL, Mo. – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified a woman found dead in an Imperial neighborhood earlier this month.

According to Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak, the body of Sattish Catching was discovered just before 2 p.m. on March 9 in the 800 block of Sulphur Springs Road. The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis was later activated to investigate the matter.

Catching, 35, was a resident of north St. Louis City.

Catching’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
