COLUMBIA — Columbia police said Thursday they are conducting a death investigation, after skeletal remains were found around I-70 Drive Southwest and Stadium Boulevard.

Multiple Columbia police vehicles and a crime scene investigation vehicle were on the scene early Thursday evening. Police information officer Jeff Pitts said a press release will be issued once police know more details on the situation.

Remains found in Columbia identified

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Columbia police have identified the skeletal remains found Thursday near I-70 Drive S.W.

The remains belong to Glenn Lester O'Neal, 39, of Columbia, police said in a news release Friday.
