Police looking for missing Lincoln County woman

Police are looking for a missing Troy, Missouri, woman who hasn't been seen since Jan. 18.

Police said someone called them to check on 52-year-old Stephani J. Johnson on Jan. 23 because they hadn't seen her in 12 days. When police talked to Johnson's husband, he told police he hadn't seen her since Jan. 18 but didn't report her missing.

"Police say the car connected to the case is a silver 2008 GMC Yukon Denali XL with Missouri license plate number MP6S3H. The vehicle was last seen going southbound on north Lincoln Drive in Troy."

If so, the description will motivate them to call it in to authorities.

Of course. It's just too bad this is coming out so late that she has been gone. It is a huge vehicle, so harder to hide. Idk if there is much water around there, as I have not researched it yet.

There‘s water, but if she was driving southbound, it would be on the opposite side of the road IMO.

Generally, when the spouse doesn't report the other missing they could well be responsible for the reason they went missing.

My husband and I have a plan, the first person to mention the word "divorce" has to take ALL the #*@& stored in the two car garage.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department said the missing person report was mistakenly released by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Lt. Andy Binder says there is no evidence that Stephani Johnston is in danger, just that she went missing.

So, she has been removed from the Missouri State Highway patrol endangered missing list, but still is a ”regular“ missing person in Lincoln County?

Perhaps she contacted LE and told them she left on her own and is fine. I can't think of any other reason why she'd be missing one day and then not endangered the next?
