A US Marine awarded a purple heart has lost his treasured collection of shirts while moving from Missouri to Texas! He realized the shirts were missing in Oklahoma, so that narrows the field - a little. It's still a stretch though, anywhere between Fort Leonard Wood and Durant, Oklahoma.

'Staff Sergeant Shawn Vernon collected shirts from 24 countries over 17 years of service in the Marines.'

He has been searching 2 months now and says it would really mean a lot to him to get them back. He's due to retire next year and would really like his keepsakes from when he served. He's offered a reward, but unfortunately just had some hoax responses from people wanting the money. I wonder if any of our sleuthers have any ideas?

Here is Sergeant Vernon's FB appeal for help locating his lost collection: https://www.facebook.com/shawn.vernon.37/posts/10203322971412566
