I think this is where the "illegal lane change" took place.
I don't think she was initially going south.....I think she was heading north, got into the left lane (without signaling) to turn around.

So are you saying you think she passed the QT? Then was in left lane to turnaround and go back to the stoplight? I'm confused! Lol

Yes......and making the theory of her not really needing gas more plausible.

If so, maybe she was actually looking for some other harder-to-find building on that street/block and decided to turn around, but then got pulled over which prompted the gas stop at a different QT?

I used to live and work in this area for several years, including right behind the NKC Quiktrip, downtown next to the Quaff, and for a short period of time, close to Southwest Blvd.

There a few a few things I will note as a point of information to those sleuthers out there:

1) North Kansas City police offers pull people over all the time. I think I was pulled over 3 times on Burlington, all three times pretty close to the Quicktrip. The officers were generally fairly nice in dealing with me. I never felt endangered.

2) I always felt very safe at the NKC Quicktrip. It is very clean, open 24 hours, staff always there, bright lights on, ect. Often times officers would hang out there and were very friendly with the clerks. This is one of the safest gas stations in the KC area. I can't same the same for the gas stations downtown or further south. I always tried my best to avoid getting gas downtown. In fact, when I lived downtown, I typically would use the NKC quick trip as it was close to work. If she lived downtown, she may have been doing the same.

3) NKC cops rare drive outside of their jurisdiction. They are also not suppose to pull anyone over outside of jurisdiction. Search "North Kansas City" on Google maps to see what the jurisdiction covers. It does not cross the river.

4) Southwest Blvd is on the other side of downtown. You can take 9 straight to it. Route 9 (which is Burlington) turns into Broadway street , which hits Southwest Blvd at the end of downtown. If you head west, you travel into a large mexican area with plenty of mexican restaurants. If you continue down the road you will be just west of westport and eventually cross over to KS. I personally did not like that area and did not feel safe over there.

5) It is very atypical to get pulled over on 26th street. It is more common to pull someone over on Burlington. There is plenty of room to pull over. If she was heading north on Burlington, my only suspicion is that she there to get gas. There isn't much else for a 20 year old to do further north of QT. You have to be 21 to get into Argosy.

I see. [emoji848] Could be possible. Otherwise she would have had plenty of opportunity to turn right into the businesses along Burlington and head back to QT.

She could be selling. Or she wants something different

If she was selling, Macken Park would be a good site to do a deal.

Her boyfriend is allegedly a dealer. So why would she be running all over town looking to score? Does not make sense.
Maybe she was his mule.

Thanks for the insight. Do you think it would be common for someone in Toni's age bracket to use a fake ID to get into a place like Argosy this time of night? I know in many cities that wouldn't be a stretch.

I saw that and it was super weird but I just assumed it was 4:20 and not 1:20, but yeah, you would think they would want their cameras set up right. Lol

Okay. I'm guessing LEO are using several sources to develop their timeline estimates--her phone, people's accounts, the cameras at the QT...just didn't know if they had some possibly fuzzy numbers too if they based any estimations on the stamp in this video. For example, is it exactly 13 hours off? Is it 13 hours and 11 minutes off? It would make a difference.

If Toni or her car were in one of those underground caves or parking areas, I wonder if her phone or the insurance GPS tracker could still ping from down there?

Not sure how all of that works for sure, but it likely wouldn't get a good signal underground.

It is very common to do so. When I was younger I dated two separate girls that both used fakes.

That's what I figured. And does the Argosy have concealed parking lots too? Does it have hotels, do you know?

Are the Sunnyhill apts safe back there? It looks to be at the end of the road if you travel past Macken Park

LE should ask Cerner to review their security footage at their Cerner Oaks campus. The Cerner Oaks campus is right north of the Quicktrip on N Oak Trafficway. That would at least rule out if she went up that path, which I don't know why she would. I used to work there and I knew that have security cameras there.

I'm local and this is spot on.

AceDetective, Mrs.U, Victoria H., Did any of you think the timestamp thing I mentioned here could be relevant to our timeline? http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...as-City-15-Jan-2017-2&p=13094794#post13094794

We talked about that the other day and yes, you'd think they would.....I bet they fixed it now LOL.
We also wondered why the reporter showing the video didn't clarify that as well.
The reporter knew though, going off of the 4:25 stop, lasting about 7 mintutes, then saying she left gas station at 4:40am.
If this is acurate, (and throwing my 2nd theory off kilter LOL) it IS possible Toni got two minutes more down the road and got stopped a second time....by a BAD or fake cop.

I personally never went back there, but I didn't think that area was too bad. It looks like a good area to hide from cops.
