In Kansas City that night and morning you would have Police, tow trucks and city crews out clearing the roads, not a good time to kidnap or rob someone. Less people just out driving and more of everyone I mentioned.
My impression is that she was lured to a location. If someone lures someone to a location for the purpose of kidnap or whatever, they don't have to worry about any of the police, tow trucks, city crews etc. They obviously would have chosen a location away from possible sighting.
I'd be investing some time into North of 152 and West of 435. I don't know how many cameras exist in KC area, but I'd certainly be looking for any indication of her going in either of those directions. The first few days after she went missing would have been the right time to have been asking people if they had seen her vehicles in those areas, while it was fresh in their minds.
The idea that the car is/was in KC still, isn't a given in my mind. If this was snitch related, she was likely lured to a more secluded area, such as what I have pointed out. I think bodies of water are likely reasonable places, however the areas I pointed out are secluded enough that a car might not be found for quite some time even if not in a body of water.
