Has it been confirmed that LE followed Toni for a bit after she left the QuikTrip? That was claimed in the Crime Watch Daily show, but while saying it they showed Toni driving to the QuikTrip. Some people seem to see the following away as suspicious. But their suspicions could be eliminated if it didn't happen...

It happened- The investigating officer mentions this in one of the crime shows on Toni. I believe it was CWD. That was the first time I remember noting that the QT was not when she was last seen.

CWD was wrong about Toni leaving the gas station and the cops following her. She was leaving 26th and the two cars followed as Toni left the camera's view. After I posted that a few weeks ago they removed that sentence from the article.

Look above: "And it said, 'OMG, just got pulled over again,'" said Roxy.

"But I do know that when she started her car the GPS is no longer transmitting on her car," said Sgt. Caldwell.

And as Toni leaves the gas station to get back on the highway known as the Route 9 Corridor, you can see the cop who'd pulled her over continue to follow her until she is out of view of surveillance cameras.

"There is no visual evidence to show where she went," said Sgt. Caldwell.

So, I am surmising that it was said, then retracted. I remember it in the video. I'm going to dbl check. Another reason why I continually have to review the same topic at different times! The info changes constantly!! Not surprised , since I'm learning the media doesn't get much of anything right in this one.

That video was released on 1-20 by fox4kc. CWD released this video 3-4 days before Toni was found. You can see the cars turning after 3:30.

It wasn't retracted officially that I'm aware of. You can compare the footage from January and March and see it's from 26th/Burlington. The latest footage shows that Toni did turn right. She had her blinker on.

So it has changed, but it still does state that he followed her out onto the 9. Why did they say that he followed her into the gas station and then followed her out onto the 9-Toni was not seen on surveillance videos after that. They later say the officer was seen going the opposite direction on surveillance videos. He follows her out, you can see that. But why? Why why why? Just listening to this makes me sick how they spin things for ratings. I know this is a crazy case but they totally spin it a certain way.

Wait a sec. Am I misinterpreting the vehicle (police car) following her out of the qt for a different vehicle(unknown)??? At the same time they say "he followed her out onto the 9" they are pointing to the video eluding that it is the officer!

They do state it was the officer, but it is the wrong video! As she is going into the qt, they state that she is leaving and being followed. I really thought for a moment I had totally overlooked this . Ughhhhhhhhh

I know this is a stupid question but is national crime beat news a reputable news source?

Apparently NO! They say she is leaving qt and being followed but the actual video is her driving into the qt being followed by officer.

The car on the far left is the mystery car. The car ahead of it, who presses his brakes, is the cop. Toni jets away on the far right. I don't see the brake lights on the mystery car. They were turning off 26th, and faced east and the QT.

Heartgoesout- As we've been saying, the coincidences are completely crazy. She stops to get gas, tracker malfunctions coincidentally, just before she dies. Her boss begs her to work this particular night she wasn't scheduled-the night she dies. She is supposed to meet coworker very close in distance for drugs, but she doesn't, then she dies. She decides to go to a completely secluded park instead of picking up weed or whatever it was, right before she dies. WTH.

So it seems fair to speculate that the news station that released the JD Ryder footage got there before police.
I would personally try to talk to that employee who watched the video. I assume this is how Pete knows she circled the QT?
When did the media pick up on Toni's case? Before or after the police came out and said she was pulled over?

When she sent that text to Roxy, it almost as if she possibly got interrupted as she was texting, (maybe a knock on her window?) then resumed the text thus being the reason for the OMG just just pulled over again
The just just being typed two times?

Sophie- is there any other direction that mystery car could have gone or is turning into the qt it's only option? It cuts off. Give me your thoughts

I'm thinking so- does anyone know the date that came out for the very first time?

It inexplicably smacks you in the face.
It screams push for answers. Seek the truth. Don't settle for the unsettable.

Actually what date did the reporter show up at JD Bryder? Before or after investigators?

 • #498
I wonder if Pete has seen the entire footage....... what else is on that video we have not seen? Also, the officer being interviewed on CWD states that the officer had been interviewed- he mentioned nothing about dashcam video SHOWING what the officer did after the traffic stop. Here it comes.....Do we know FOR A FACT that there is indeed dashcam footage? For instance, we do not have dashcam here in police vehicles. We have body cams that have strict regulations on when it can be turned off and when it has to be on. I am going to check on regulations for dashcam because I know when you hit the lights it activates recording, but can be turned off, and doesn't necessarily record if it isn't activated .

From Fox 4 link
"We have no indication that she was pulled over by an officer with the Kansas City, Mo., Police Department," said Sgt. Kari Thompson with the Kansas City Police Department initially. "We have also checked with other local agencies in Missouri as well as in Kansas, and there is no indication that Toni Anderson was pulled over by local police."

An update from police Tuesday night (which would be Tuesday January 17th) said it has been determined that the North Kansas City Police Department did stop the missing woman prior to her disappearance. Police say they are still working to determine her next steps after the traffic stop concluded.

I'm finding January 20th is when Fox aired the exclusive video. Don't trust me on that. Can someone confirm?

So I would think that if LE got the video first that they would either confiscate it or at least tell them not to share it with anyone else. It is weird if in fact that the reporter got there first on Friday and they would definitely air it that same night that LE didn't get there first to view it. I don't know maybe they did and had no legal right to take the video or tell them not to show it to anyone.

Did we ever confirm shift hours? For both part time and full time?
