Investigators have been canvassing the Moselle area searching for new information on the burned human remains found Tuesday at the Chouteau Claim river access.
According to Franklin County Sheriff Steve Pelton, Forestry Division of the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) employees uncovered the burned remains of an adult white male Tuesday about noon. The remains were dumped at the access between two to three days before they were located in a burn pile in a wooded area...
Following the discovery of the remains, deputies, conservation employees and others used cadaver dogs to conduct a grid search of the area. On Wednesday, a Missouri State Highway Patrol dive team continued the search in the water, but did not locate any clues.
