MO - Woman escapes from Excelsior Springs house, says she's been held against her will since September 2022

I don't know but I'll tell you what's in the blue barrels. That cadaver dog just flagged one in the vid. It's hard to tell, since the yellow tape is in the way, but his paw is on the barrel. He scratched it with gusto. We should be seeing more serious charges brought up against him IMO.

The vid had the option to copy the link grayed out so I couldn't copy it. The vid is the one at the top with LE talking in the link below. It's 47 seconds in. That looked like a "pretty darn for sure flagging" done by that dog. :( It caught me by surprise and made me jump in my seat. The woman is super lucky to be alive. It doesn't appear that her friends made it. :(

Thanks for posting that link. Here's some more video from KMBC. I tried to post these in chronological order.

I'd like to know if he's lived anywhere else.
I gave it the old college try yesterday using a semi-reliable site I use. familytreenow.com. Oddly, I couldn't find him. While I wasn't sleuthing his ex-wife, mother, or father, I was looking them up just trying to find his name associated with any of them. Kinda like a backdoor way into his info since I couldn't find him directly. I've been able to find other hard to find people that way due to name changes and whatnot. But not him. To the best of my knowledge (IOW my guess) people show up on that site due to businesses, employment, banks, etc. having your address. It's like he's invisible which is puzzling to me. If I found his father, mother, and ex... then his name should be in either the Possible Relatives or the Possible Associates sections. Nada.

I say it's semi-reliable as I've seen my info have wrong dates for addresses where I've lived (same for others I know). I also saw a place I worked listed as a place I lived (I swear I didn't sleep there! lol) which makes me think that because I had received mail there, that maybe that's how that site used that address. What I also know is that since I asked to be removed from that site, I no longer show up under any relatives or associates pages, nor the page of who else lived at that address. I can't imagine that TH would (A) know about that site, or (B) ask to be removed from it which is why he's not showing up on it.

Things that make ya go Hmmmmm....

The victim was found early Friday morning after police were called to a residence for a reported sexual assault and kidnapping. When police were contacted, they were told she was wearing a metal collar with what appeared to be a padlock on the front, and a trash bag. The woman reported she had been held hostage at Haslett’s home since September.

When contacted by police, the woman was wearing latex lingerie and the metal collar as described. She told them she had been picked up on Prospect Avenue in Kansas city in early September. The Star generally does not identify possible victims of sexual assault without their permission. The woman told investigators she had been kept in “a small room in the basement that he had built.”

Um, the special room in the basement, the latex lingerie, whips, chains, etc sounds like a creepy BDSM situation gone bad. I think we'll find he has a history of deviant/sadistic sexual behavior. moo
Do we know if this special room was soundproof?

(I’m still 4 pages behind. So please excuse me if this has already been asked/answered).

Does anybody know if was renting or if he owned the home? I am pretty sure it will end up like the castro house being torn down, was just wondering if it is owned by someone else, if that is still a possibility.
I tried to figure that out but couldn't. Hopefully someone with better sleuthing abilities than me can find out. :)

Here's a reference to the original Tik Tok/Kansas City Defender claims, from a local blog named "Tony's Kansas City." Notice their screen shot of the original claims said "85th and Paseo." That makes MUCH more sense than the "85th and Prospect" that came from the debunking report. 85th and Prospect is a rather empty industrial area. I get Prospect and Paseo mixed up sometimes too. Edit: I was wrong; the original TIK TOK said 85th and Prospect

Looks like the property owners are elsewhere in Excelsior Springs, if a County Office website can be believed. (not sure what's linkable)

Hmm, I wonder if I was looking at the wrong thing.

Here is a reference with the family of a missing young woman saying "Please don't say there's a serial killer"

Here's another report that says "85th and Prospect" but Tony's Kansas City's screenshot said "85th and Paseo"
I would be more inclined to believe "85th and Paseo" since, again, 85th and Prospect seems mostly industrial and rather empty. Edit: I was wrong; the original Tik Tok said 85th and Prospect

That is startling! What was also startling was people sitting in lawn chairs watching! Who does that?

Here's where I found the other info as to property ownership:

I'll take your word for it. :) I can't get it to pull anything up using his name or his address.
I found it just by searching his last name.

According to Merriam-Webster... a lookie-loo.

Definition of lookie-loo

US, informal + often disparaging
: a person who looks at something: such as
a: a person who goes somewhere or stops to look at something (such as the scene of an accident) : an intrusively curious onlooker —usually plural… to discourage the thousands of 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 who once jammed the street to get a glimpse of the murder scene.— David W. Myers

This article mentions the woman was picked up on Prospect Avenue, in Kansas City. I'm not at all familiar with that part of the country. Anyone know more about Prospect Avenue? I'm curious if it's a busy area, or high crime, or a nice neighborhood, etc...?
i am wondering if it is the blade

According to this article that denies there being a serial killer: "A TikTok/YouTube post from The Kansas City Defender said there are four women murdered and three others missing from the area around 85th Street and Prospect Avenue."

well we know at least one was missing at that time, now.

Do you know if anyone has named the 3 that are missing? If so, are the initials of one of them T. J. like the initials of the victim in this case?
where can i find this?

The probable cause statement has b/f next to a redaction, which I took to mean black female. Not positive though
