Moist Teabags and Kleenex!!!!!!!

As far as tea goes, there's an old recipe in the south some people used to make,I know my dh's grandma did.I call it "pineapple tea",which is flavored with ground pineapple and a bit of the juice from it.I think some recipes call for orange juice as well.In a pinch, you can just add pineapple juice or a small amount of it.In addition to JB liking pineapple,I wonder if this could be another reason it was there.

That's sounds soooo good!

I didn't think much about the tea bag still being in there and the tag hanging out. I do that sometimes (when all the mugs are in the dishwasher), and the tag doesn't fall into the glass - it hooks over the side.

Oh my Goodness, JMO, I had not even thought about pineapple tea! My mom always poured the juice from the can of pineapple rings into our tea! Hummm....Maybe someone spooned out the juice from the pineapple bowl into a glass of tea. Something else to consider.......

Could be, maybe PR was making pineapple tea and JB ate a piece or two without PR noticing.(I think I read they didn't find a whole lot at the autopsy?).That could explain why she didn't eat much, since it wasn't a snack for her anyway, and PR didn't know she'd eaten any,so they felt comfortable in saying she went right to bed and never woke up.

What do women use to reduce swelling from crying or lack of sleep????

(sliced cucumber or if you don't have cucumber...)

Moist Teabags.....

Kleenex.... for tears and a runny nose from crying...........!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would totally explain why there was no hot cup for anyone who had had a cup of hot tea or an empty glass for cold tea with the remains of cold tea inside it..............

It would explain why the kleenex and the tea bag were both on the kitchen table!

That's brilliant. I didn't think of that... never occurred to me. Actually, it makes even more sense seeing as teabags used for swollen eyes don't require any brewing (it only needs to be moistened), which takes care of the lack of an appropriate cup for brewing tea. Besides, it's so Patsy that she'd be concerned with whether or not her eyes appeared red and swollen seeing as how fastidious she was about her appearance.

Great work, Tea! You just shot that timeline to Heck and Back!
Thank you, angelwngs! It takes Patsy 20-30 minutes to put a little bit of make up on? Good lord.

After reading all the transcripts I realize that it is no wonder that the R's were never ruled out as suspects! Everywhere you look they are shooting holes in their own 'story'!

Keep up the Good Work, Tea. I LOVE reading your posts! ;)

If the old teabag trick was used to cover up someone's puffy eyes, wouldn't there need to have been 2 teabags?

Good thread but yes, there would have been 2 tea bags, and another thing, wouldn't the Kleenex be stained, the color of tea?

Now we know why Patsy denied knowing about the tissues etc. Hate to admit she'd been crying...........
The real problem, if she had been found crying WHEN would she have cried. She wasn't crying on the 911 call and LE was right there some minutes after. If she had been found with swollen eyes finding the note at 5.52 may have been hard to explain.

I think she was crying sometime during the night right after the fact.
Faking crying when LE arrived may have seemed harder than just trying to remove the traces of it.

If the teabag was used to stop puffy eyes, wouldn't Patsy just have left the bag wrapped up inside the tissue and then thrown it away? Why unwrap it and then put the used teabag inside a glass?

From the looks of the pictures,PR wasn't the greatest housekeeper, but even so I think most people would have at least put the glass in the sink and the pineapple in the fridge.Especially since they were leaving the next day.So I can't help but think that the start of whatever happened that night either started in the kitchen, or as they were having snacks, since nothing was put away.It all seemed to be forgotten about.I think it's odd they weren't put away, even if the housekeeper was going to clean while they were gone.(I don't know,I don't think I've ever read if she was scheduled to come or not then).
