The DNA was found in heathers vehicle. No DNA found in connection with moorers belongings. Of course DNA of heathers would be in her car or apt.
SStarr- interesting to read that. I am not convinced it was a bias ruling though. I am convinced this arrest was a serious injustice for Heather. Her family deserves to know what happened and narrowing the focus so quickly and making sloppy errors is simply unfair to this family.
It was said at the hearing wasn't it?
I'm confused, is there no dna or was the lab error no Heather's dna in SM's truck?
During the two-hour long hearing, the attorney for Sidney Moorer, Kirk Truslow, said that new information obtained since the last bond hearing showed that mistakes were made by the lab that determined that Heather Elvis's DNA was found in Sidney Moorer's truck.

I don't know. I remember the defense saying that there were mistakes with the DNA in SM's truck, but I don't remember hearing that there is no DNA. Another reason I wanted the state to continue speaking without all of the judges interruptions. I guess I need to watch the hearing again.
I'd really like to hear what was found at the house that gave them enough to get an arrest warrant! No mention was made of that at all at the hearing, was it?

No DNA from HE in SM's truck.
The lab mistakingly said DNA was from SM's truck when in fact it was from HE's car.
I think the circumstantial evidence against SM is very, very strong. He's on record completely lying about contact with her that night, yet he's on video. There are calls to/from HIS phone.
I think a conviction of SM is possible based on this. But not TM unless there's some evidence that ties her to it we don't know about.
I absolutely do not believe for a second there's some other person out there responsible for HE's disappearance. But I think LE botched this investigation BIG time.

She mentioned the texts they deleted from the phones were found on a computer that had been backed up to the phone. I think that was the major house evidence along with TMs stalker info she had compiled on the Elvis's.
I think this was posted yesterday by PeterThomasFan...

Forensic evidence[edit]
Other examples of circumstantial evidence are fingerprint, blood analysis or DNA analysis of the evidence found at the scene of a crime. These types of evidence may strongly point to a certain conclusion when taken into consideration with other factsbut if not directly witnessed by someone when the crime was committed, they are still considered circumstantial. However, when proved by expert witnesses, they are usually sufficient to decide a case, especially in the absence of any direct evidence. Owing to developments in forensic methods, old undecided cases (or cold cases) are frequently resolved.
Exactly what I'm remembering. It was never said there is NO dna - it was said that the lab erred with Heather's dna being in SM's truck.
In other words the judge was not going to be swayed by any circumstantial evidence no matter by how much or strong in making his decision at the hearing- only possibly direct evidence which he asked if the state had, like a direct witness who may have been in danger if they were out.
Is this saying Dennis's term is up mid-June?

If so, they need to try to get the date moved.
