More problems caused by illegal immigration

I'm so glad I got sick and had to stay off WS for a while, and missed this mess. I'm not going to get back into it, either.

Except for one thing I have left to say and people on both sides of this issue are making the same mistake: please mind that you use certain terms correctly!

It is very annoying to see people talking about 'immigrants' and then it turns out they are actually talking about 'illegals'.
They are not the same, people.... please try and use the correct terms, it has bled into society enough already. There really are people who don't know the difference and it doesn't help that people who do (or should) mis-use these terms as well.

I think it's safe to assume when the word immigrant is used in a thread such as this they mean illegal. This seems to be a sore subject with you, but I'm pretty sure most, if not all of us here know the difference. We're just lazy with our fingers.

And that laziness is exactly what I am appealing to. There's no need to be lazy when obviously the wrong terms are being used. Yes, immigration is a topic of interest for me. I don't believe it should be described as a 'sore subject' though when I am merely appealing to people to please use the right terms. Have you ever read one of Steve Huff's rants about people saying they are 'blogging' when they are leaving comments on his blogs? I agree with him there and if people kept saying the same thing here about that topic, I would have said the same thing as I have now. Because that is also one of my interests. And you do know what they say about 'assuming', right?
