Mother preparing to be arrested

  • #121
Is this just mom thinking she will be arrested? Or has Le said she is a suspect?

Exactly! She is not listed in the MO Bar Association. Is it possible that she is in law school, or is that misinformation as well?

The reports were that she is an attorney in Texas but I don't think that's true. I do believe that she is enrolled in law school in KC. The info was really easy to find, took me about 2 minutes.

SHe lives out of state. Not sure if it's kosher to say what her status as attorney is; she HAS inserted herself as a kind of spokesperson .

Coming to the party late here. Have been following along on the edges.

Don't know if this belongs here - but don't see a reference to it at all.

So here goes:

Have we heard, seen or read anywhere about any dogs brought in? Either bloodhounds for tracking - to see if Baby Lisa left the house and track her scent? Or HRD dogs to look for her?

I do remember seeing the landfill was searched - and I admit, I thought the worst BUT then I remembered Somer and how quickly LE acted with that search and accordingly, they quickly found her. So that's another question. Why did LE hot-foot it over to the landfill? Was that done because of "history of previous cases" or was it done due to evidence surfacing during the investigation?

I still want to know about any dogs used or being used.

BBM: I think the reason they did that was because of the dumpster fire. The contents of that dumpster go to that landfill. I am not sure that they were looking for Lisa specifically (could be though), but I'm thinking they were looking for ANYTHING from the dumpster that could have been a clue.

I've never been involved in a criminal case myself so I can't speak directly to how LE operates. I realize corruption happens, LE makes mistakes, even follows leads in the wrong direction, etc, etc. Truly though, I have faith in LE overall. Call me naive but I don't believe LE's chief concern is making an arrest in the disappearance of baby Lisa. I believe their focus is finding Lisa, the arrest is secondary to that.

It's getting harder to stay on the fence. I'm still hoping and praying Lisa will be found safe and healthy.

It is interesting that the dogs got no scent of the mom. The baby I can understand as it would be carried everywhere, but the mother?!

As for this hour:D .. I believe the mother didn't go anywhere... I think she knows who took her baby because she was with him that night while Dad was working... I think the mother emotions are true...she is crying for real, and hurt, crushed, ect ect... not because she vanished her child or ordered her child to be wanished... but that she knows the person that did... By telling her husband of her suspisions, she probably feared loosing him too.... this is just my opinion, for this hour..

From the article
http://abcnews.go.com/US/missing-baby-lisa-mother-preparing-arrested/story?id=14709800

New developments arrived Monday as crime scene investigators ventured into an overgrown drainage ditch behind the family home.
Does this mean they found something or did they just want to get the fact that CSI were in the drainage ditch into the story? Hmmm.

Personally, I believe LE is pressing hard on this woman. They spent alot of time recreating her theory about the window, showing her how this could not be how an abduction occurred. And I asked about a computer, well, DUH, one of the pictures of Lisa show her at a keyboard...

snippets from : http://abcnews.go.com/US/missing-baby-lisa-mother-preparing-arrested/story?id=14709800

The mother of missing baby Lisa Irwin is preparing to be charged in connection with her baby's disappearance, according to a family member who says she thinks that an arrest is "inevitable."

"It's what the police do," Ashley Irwin said. "They don't have any leads so they just have to pin it on somebody."

MOO ...

B&RBM: What an "outrageous" statement to make.

Law Enforcement FOLLOWS the LEADS, and if the "leads" LE is following up on takes them to Baby Lisa's mother ... "it is what it is" !

I think LE is doing the best they can here, and is following up on everything, including a "re-enactment" to see if an "intruder" got in through a window ...

I just hope that Baby Lisa is found SOON !

Yes, it does not make any sense. Mom lives there - her scent would be all over that place both inside and definitely outside - just from normal comings and goings.

There should have been numerous "trails" of mom - we have discussed tracking dogs ad naseum and included how do they tell if a trail is older or newer and the overlapping of trails, etc.

Plus, one can't "sanitize" an outside area of any tracking scents. It simply cannot be done. So that leaves me to question the dogs used. How many dogs were brought in? After those got no scent - why didn't they try new dogs?

And speaking of dogs - did the family have any pets? Dogs and/or cats?

This is coming from the family (I think...lost here too). LE denied they were planning on arresting the mom.

A spokesperson (owner? management? employee?) at the landfill said on camera that LE was looking for a person (implied: body).

The MSM link was posted here back at the time it happened...

It was interesting because they had already searched there once and the sleuthers didn't know about it (media slipped up, and no leak!).

Let's say they arrest Deborah and she was involved in Lisa's disappearance like Ashley insists is the case. She could still be alive, right? She could have sent her w/someone for safekeeping? My only issue w/this theory is how did she think this would all end? I feel like if DB is involved the Lisa is dead and I hate that option.

So where are we meeting for crow & boxed wine? I think I'll be joining you. :(

Was the family member asked anything about the box of wine on GMA?

Anyone else think this Aunt might be advising the mom and dad on media and police matters?

If LE pinned things on people, TH would be in jail awaiting trial, so would Josh Powell, and many others...that is such a cop-out of a statement. Sometimes I WISH they would pin things on people to move things along...just kidding...and just JMO. I just hate when family members start worrying about the parents and the child somehow becomes incidental...

Yes.

A lab mix dog and a new kitten that the son found that day.

LE has not named her as a suspect, or even a person of interest. I see all of this as strategy. Mom (or a family member) has put the cart before the horse.

I don't get why some think anyone would find the trip to the store for box wine or the paper plates scandalous...and I don't think anyone does. I think every person on this board has way more sense than that. the problem is the bigger picture - she didn't mention the man in the video with her to the police. Heck, she could have been buying coke and a Three Musketeers - it's not what she was buying, but who WAS she was buying it with.

Remember when she had such a hard time thinking of anyone to give as suspects. She and JI were hurting themselves pulling people out of their orifices. She never thought to mention mystery man?

How do I know she didn't tell them about the trip and the man on the video? They found a receipt 6 days later and rushed to the grocery store to view the tapes. No LE agency is that incompetent.

BBM

Exactly.

LE has, for several days, come right out and said that tips and leads for this case are few and far between. IF DB had told them about this trip to the grocery store, you better believe they would've been reviewing the video tape before yesterday.

As an aside... I'm a former longtime KC metro area resident (lived there 44 years), mostly on the KS side until 12 years ago. I can picture in my mind's eye exactly where this neighborhood is. I am amazed that Phil Witt looks the same as he did 20 years ago!

if she is advising, she isn't doing them any favors. Saying the mother believes she is going to be arrested promotes the idea in the public that the mother IS guilty of something. The longer she holds back the truth, the less hope I have that the child is alive.
