Mother preparing to be arrested

  • #141
Let's say they arrest Deborah and she was involved in Lisa's disappearance like Ashley insists is the case. She could still be alive, right? She could have sent her w/someone for safekeeping? My only issue w/this theory is how did she think this would all end? I feel like if DB is involved the Lisa is dead and I hate that option.

So where are we meeting for crow & boxed wine? I think I'll be joining you. :(

BBM

I think that's one reason why so many were initially resistant to the idea that Deborah was responsible. Everyone was hoping for a happy resolution, and that doesn't usually happen when the parents are involved in a child's disappearance.

I include myself in that group btw. I was a fence sitter in this case but leaning more to Mom's side more often than not because it gave me more hope. I am about to fall off the fence onto the Mom is guilty side, and I hate to think about what that means for Baby Lisa.

Yes.

A lab mix dog and a new kitten that the son found that day.

I wonder where the kitten was found? Maybe the rest of the kittens/mama cat is what LE was looking for in the next yard and in the bushes. We've had stray kittens find their way to our house but never just one.

Thank you. Now that you said that I do remember the kitten. Wasn't it said that the kitten was sleeping with mom and the younger boy?

But they have a dog. And a lab at that. Wouldn't that dog have barked if there was an intruder? And if mom was so sound asleep (due to the evening's events) wouldn't the children (or at least one of them) have woken up with the dog barking?

If the dog didn't bark - then possibly the intruder was known to the family and therefore the dog?

I still want to know about the vehicles.

This is coming from the family (I think...lost here too). LE denied they were planning on arresting the mom.

Almost everything that has been stated about the details of this case has come from "the family."

:waitasec: how do you find a kitten? I assume the son was not allowed to wander too far on his own (they are young boys, aren't they?)... I wonder if the mother and son went around the area he found the kitten to ask if they had missing kitten...

Yes, it does not make any sense. Mom lives there - her scent would be all over that place both inside and definitely outside - just from normal comings and goings.

There should have been numerous "trails" of mom - we have discussed tracking dogs ad naseum and included how do they tell if a trail is older or newer and the overlapping of trails, etc.

Plus, one can't "sanitize" an outside area of any tracking scents. It simply cannot be done. So that leaves me to question the dogs used. How many dogs were brought in? After those got no scent - why didn't they try new dogs?

And speaking of dogs - did the family have any pets? Dogs and/or cats?

I know the K-9 unit was brought in early, according to the timeline.
I do not remember LE ever stating who they were tracking or any results of the K-9 search

**family stayed with relatives after being questioned until 10:30 p.m.

Wednesday October 5, 2011

9:00 a.m. press conference Capt. Steve Young speaking—basically no new information. Still searching with dogs, however there have been no hits. Parents not ruled out, but also not suspects. Very cooperative.

They said they found the kitten that same afternoon. Something to occupy the boys with maybe? And I know she did have a dog and a big questions was, why didnt the dog bark because the news (I dont remember which one) said the neighbor had a dog too and their dog was kept outside and that one didnt bark which leads me to believe that both dogs knew the person that they saw doing whatever. I know my one dog probably wouldnt bark but no one would try and break into my house if they saw a big dog. A lab is a decent sized dog, one that someone might be afraid of getting bit by, I have a pit that would lick you to death but someone would take one look at him and say, the hell with this house... Odd no dogs barked though and the person wasnt afraid of the dog.

As for this hour:D .. I believe the mother didn't go anywhere... I think she knows who took her baby because she was with him that night while Dad was working... I think the mother emotions are true...she is crying for real, and hurt, crushed, ect ect... not because she vanished her child or ordered her child to be wanished... but that she knows the person that did... By telling her husband of her suspisions, she probably feared loosing him too.... this is just my opinion, for this hour..

How incredibly cowardly that would be.

I've wondered from the beginning how/where the kitten was found. Might be nothing, might be something if a stranger gave the boy the kitten.....

Yes, the kitten was sleeping with mom and son. The dog didn't bark. (if their dog is anything like my lab, it would lick you to death-even if you're a stranger, but never bark)

I'm not sure of your exact question regarding the vehicles. Two vehicles were searched. One van (jeremy's work van) and one car.

I dont think they were tracking Debs scent. Just the baby which would be difficult because she would be carried.

And PS.. LE just now arrived at the house again.

I am so far behind at this point so I hope this hasn't been posted but exactly HOW is she preparing to be arrested? Is she in contact with her son's father or his family to arrange care for him? That would be my main concern if I thought I was going to jail. If I understand correctly his family is out of state so would he not end up with CPS (or the MO equivelent) until all that could be straightened out? I think I would also be working on bail ahead of time so I could get back to my child and the search for my daughter ASAP.

That whole statement (By AI) just seems so weird to me. Why would you even come out and say that? DB really needs a lawyer and not one related to JI (assuming AI is really an attorney at all) because it seems highly likely that those two are soon going to be looking out for different interests.

All MOO.

Maybe they needed a break so they could come up with their next sob story to tell LE and the public..... just a thought

I think one or both are involved

Drew Peterson took a 2 day vacation to think things over........just thinking out loud

OK..assuming mom is being paranoid about the arrest, I haven't seen any ongoing pleas being made to find Lisa. Have they shown up on television lately? All I'm seeing are reports of LE doing searches around the house, the neighbours home, alleged surveillance tapes at a store.

Where are the parents? Shouldn't they be continuing to beg for Lisa's safe return? I'm not talking about a sit down hotel interview with a major network. It just seems the focus to find Lisa has halted. Why?
Not since the Judge JP interview which may have been taped on Friday night or Saturday. It was played on Saturday night, IIRC. But there has been not one peep out of Mom or Dad since that interview. Everything else has come from, family and one time LE confirmed they were back talking to police, IIRC, Sunday. Then by Sunday & Monday the "you know what" starting hitting the fan...LE all over the house and yards, again.

O/T - does anyone know if the mods will be serving us box wine with our lunch today?

I don't even drink and, at this point, am sincerely hoping that this will, indeed, be the case! LOL

I sure hope so because my cup is looking rather empty!:innocent:

LE has not named her as a suspect, or even a person of interest. I see all of this as strategy. Mom (or a family member) has put the cart before the horse.

WHO DAT ! lol ...

BBM: I agree this was put out as a "strategy" ...

I wonder if this statement could have been put out by family member to gain some "sympathy" for the mother -- DB herself stated that she failed a LDT, and now, the news about the mother buying a "box of wine" hours before the last time she saw Baby Lisa ...

Also, I wonder if this statement was made by family member to "gauge" what Law Enforcement's "next step" would be ... we know that "all has not been well" between LE and the parents ...

MOO ...

O/T: Are you talking about Drew Peterson as in Laci's husband, or Drew Peterson as in the husband of missing Staci Peterson? The reason I'm asking is because I want to know what the latest with Drew (Staci's husband) is...is he rotting away in jail yet?
