Princess, I think he probably lied in his SA depo last month, not to the GJ. Although he may have lied in his GJ testimony too. :)

There is nothing about charging him right now, that is just speculation on our part. But the inconsistent statements could be used to impeach him on the stand.

Regardless, they want written transcripts of both because his statements between the 2 are inconsistent, in the SA's recollection.

This is what happens when you aren't truthful from the start.

Whatever it was that he testified to at the GJH, last court appearance when GA took the stand (unexpectedly to me) he was trying to change his wording. Like the security deal with LP and team..the prosecutors touched on this subject heavily and I believe it has to do with the hows and whys of why LP was in their home, the stipulations given, he's trying to backpeddle and it's not going to happen. It also may have to do with DC and his role with the A's...JMHO

I also feel the prosecutors will be deeming GA a hostile witness, since he is to be the "star" witness at KC's trial. I truly thought if anyone, it would be GA to seek justice for Caylee...he has so disappointed me...:banghead:

GA being an X-homicide detective should know better. He knows all too well what death smells like and he had his suspicions it was either KC or Caylee. KC was found, Caylee not, until 6 months later..

I'm sure this all has to do with impeaching the A's on the stand. These are the only people that can corroborate KCs story. If their stories are contradictory and they're proven liars, then KC's "story" (whichever one they decide to go with) goes out the window... and will not help her cause, in fact, it hurts her cause more than anything.

It's best to watch the Bond Hearing first, then LE/FBI interviews, then go to MM depo and then watch George's recent testimony at the motions hearing. Then of course all the TV interviews .... :banghead:
bbm
Especially the last Larry King interview, his story about the odor in the car did a complete 360. But you're right, the bond hearing is a must watch and then sit back as the stories evolve into the land of make believe.

Pipe dream, maybe, but I wonder if the SA can use it to make a deal with GA.Tell all in return for perjury /aiding and abetting charges dropped.

Wish someone could make GA sit down and watch them. Eyeopening.Maybe refresh his memory?

It might be fore the best, if he is considered a hostile witness. If he testifys and she gets DP, I believe the whole family will blame him. However, as a hostile, that means he is being forced to testify. THAT difference might even make him feel better emotionally.

From what I have seen of him, it will force him to come up with either justification or another story.
But he was an ex LE - I have a feeling he has seen it and said oooops! :)
I doubt he will be able to get any job where ethics is required. ;)

Found this info online for reference.

The Grand Jury

There is reference to GJ transcripts being requested for a GJ testimony here in Florida.

http://www.floridabar.org/DIVCOM/PI...badd5b4fce22d788852569cb004cc254?OpenDocument
Thanks for that link Patty...
Here is the paragraph from the above link where it states courts CAN override the secrecy clause:
"In addition, a court has the discretion to permit or prohibit the disclosure of grand jury materials. 44 In 2004, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit reversed and vacated an order from the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida compelling the disclosure of grand jury transcripts in the Aisenberg case. 45 In 1997, the Aisenberg’s child was abducted and to date, remains missing. 46 The Aisenbergs were indicted and charged with making false statements of material facts to law enforcement officials and six counts of making false statements to law enforcement official during the initial missing child report and subsequent investigation. 47 Ultimately, the indictment against the Aisenbergs was dismissed. 48 Consequently, the Aisenbergs moved for an award of attorney’s fees and the disclosure of the grand jury transcripts to support their claims for attorney’s fees. 49"

So it would seem like a no brainer that the prosecution will be able to get this testimony...

I'm extremely surprised that GA wasn't thrown on under the bus long ago. Think about it.

Cindy wanted to divorce him, but didn't want him to take half of the assets. So she stuck it out with him, not out of love, not for her kids, but for monetary assets.

KC and GA had a strained relationship, as most friends reported, and even KC stated.

KC and Lee blamed GA for the separation. Because he was talking to that woman online, lost a lot of money, etc. They didn't even like their dad, and even joked via myspace about buying him a book "how to find a job" for dummies.

Perhaps that's why KC always cries when her father is on the stand? Maybe he's going down. Who knows.

What happened to the GA at the beginning who told LE, "I think my daughters hiding something", the GA that looked under the playhouse for his Gdaughters dead body knowing what KC was capable of. The GA who almost physically attacked KC after she got out on bond, demanding the truth.

I'm not sure why he blatently lied after the fact (I think he told the truth in the LE interviews and GJ testimony) when it could be easily disproved. I think after a few weeks, he seen his family being torn apart. The whole pity me suicide thing? I think he realized that his family, as much as they loathe him and think he's a joke, is all he has. So he hopped on the A train, took blood money from Caylee, set up a phony charity to make a living..etc...etc. Good job george, you sold your very SOUL.

Btw cindy, from your blog, who is watching out for the little angel now? Thankfully not your sick family, but the LORD already had her by the time you wrote that post.

That GA may have suffered a bad bout of depression due to this, and perhaps did not get the right help. He may have been prescribed medication.

He now seems determined to bring himself out of that bad place by just lying his way through it. He kept saying to LE "I have to believe that KC could not do this, I have to believe...."

He finally told himself "You WILL believe KC, it is what you have to do!" Then he stuffed the truth as far down deep inside him as he could. He knows it's there, but he's ignoring it.

This aggressive lash-out method for GA is what he seems to be using to stay sane. If he lets the truth back in the picture, he could lose his family (which is not much, if this is the poison they are to each other).

MOO, purely speculation and I am not a psychiatrist!

I think the SA's are gearing up to have GA declared a hostile witness.

They have not been forthcoming, they have be contradictory from the second they retreived KC's vehicle and KC. They have mislead, they have told "untruths" (which to me is the same as lying), tampered with evidence, given FBI incorrect evidence, witness tampering, etc... These two are lucky OSCO has had sympathy for their loss or should have been arrested a long time ago.

I also believe they use Caylee death as an excuse when it benefits them.

I want GA to hold that huge photo of Caylee each and every time they go to court.

Which is why no one from the Anthony clan should be given any type of immunity. That is my fear, that one of them will say it was them, not KC, which would allow an alleged killer set free and they cannot be charged due to the immunity deal. That ship has passed and I feel the prosecutors are too smart for that.

I remember a long while ago when CA first started coming out with the words"mistruths" and half truths", wouldn't your mama have given you "something to cry about" if you offered up, I didn't lie, I just told a mistruth?LOL! It is pretty obvious that GA changed his approach dramatically after he faced it that Caylee was dead and went in to full save Casey at any cost mode. His initial statements to police will be the only truths we get from him. Thank God they were all memorialized. Cindy can say it was Pizza all she wants, but I will never forget George sitting in that FBI interview, a broken man, saying "There are just some smells you NEVER forget" and that he smelled decomposition. I hope he told the truth to the grand jury that day. If he did I think it was the very last time.

So I guess ole George contradicted himself in the GJ testimony and sworn interviews. I've been saying all along that we shouldn't give GA credit for his GJ testimoney until we read it. For all we knew he lied through his teeth.

And GA's version of events got even more rediculous as time went on. That interview with LKL, hours before Caylee was found, was absurd.

That's prolly pretty close, IMHO.

Also, he reminded himself that he could lose his granddau AND his dau.

I said early on we must watch GA and if you can remember on his thread I excused him for nothing accept one thing.
It must be hard to be the parent of KC.

He impressed me as a man to keep our eyes on. IMO he was the clean up director, and after math instructor.
No he is not staying sane, he is just GA doing what he does best - slippery slope.
If he lets the truth back in the picture. KC is going on a long trip to her new residence of horror now, as long as they can keep her where she is they will, and they will pray that she will get time served for her bad checks and her negligence, but they still hope that she will get out.
The "A"s are depressed now, but going down depression highway if she does not get out; that is a very deep dark hole that they are trying to avoid. That is why they suddenly took up religion. they need it to stay somewhat sane.

...this can't possibly help any book deals that may be in the can. The last thing a publisher wants is a collection of "mistruths' that can be easily found out.

I was assuming it was the opposite, that there was more "truth" in the GJ testimony and interviews and the inconsistancies [lies] came during the recent hearing testimony. He has gone from implicating KC to totally covering for her.

I agree. I think GA's GJ testimony was probably as close to the truth as anyone as heard from the A camp about this case. Hence why the DA wants it released so it can be compared to all the statements that have been made by GA after that testimony.

I think so too. GA is the people pleaser guy. When he thinks (like in LE interviews) that his family wasn't going to hear any of that, he told the truth.

In these depos, he knew they would eventually become public, and knew his family would see it. Therefore, he lied.

During the OCSO interview, this is a man (I hesitate to call him that now) who said.. "I can't believe I raised someone that could do this"...........not, I can't believe there was some accident and she probably covered for it and freaked out. He knew what his psychotic daughter was capable of. He was very open about it during LE and FBI interview. The FBI guy assured him no one else would hear what he was admitting.

Now that george knows that things will be released, if not the next day, he lies, and lies very poorly. He doesn't want to lose the only thing he has... his family.

I'm guessing that the A's have been shunned by the rest of their family because of their apparent lying, loathsome, despicable behavior. One can hope.

Thanks for the insight, Reagan! I had not even looked at George's lying that way before. I just thought Cindy had finally brainwashed him in last few months to toe the family line and lie for KC, while a year ago he felt compelled to tell the truth. But, I think you may be onto something. He told the truth when he thought his family and the public would never hear him (LE interviews, sealed Grand Jury testimony) and lied in the taped media interviews and depositions. Interesting perspective.
