I thought Rk stated he was in the coast gaurd a this time. I don't think he had become a bounty hunter yet. I could be wrong.

I believe RK said he was a Border Officer. Coast Guard are responsible for defending our shores and borders same as LE. Tools for his trade would be pretty much the same as LE.

1. he has been accused by his ex wife (see statement) Jill kerley. Read the motion in the opening post of this thread. She said he kidnapped her and held her against her will for 2 weeks in MD.

But I don't know that he lied in his depo...was that depo ever released?

In addition, JK's allegations, which surface so long after the fact, and made solely in response to questioning by a defense attorney for another case, smack of opportunism to say the least.

Isn't this the same ex wife that was making posts on another website stating that Kronk was a good man and that looking for a missing child was something that he would do as it is his nature to help people? That is before the defense got ahold of her anyway, then she changed her story. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I do recall it being THIS ex wife that made those posts.

Mr. Hornsby, I do not know if this will help at all because I know she had four or five different last names and lived in different states. If you punch her name in on this site it comes up with a long list that has codes that a lawyer would recognize ...that I do not as a layperson. If any of us have misunderstood and she is not a felon, on behalf of everyone I offer our apology to her. I am sure I speak for everyone here...abuse is never OK and it is certainly no laughing matter. IF she was abused, it was wrong! I want to be unequivocal. If someone had ever duct taped me, that guy better hope that I beat it to the police station before my brothers and friends exact a little prairie justice. Let alone, let it happen a second time. That is why I find the story hard to believe because I know what I would have done. Also, even if I allow for an abused person not being in the strong mindset to call the police.... I cannot reconcile her believing Roy did this and not contacting the police. I just do not believe any woman, mother or not, would sit by silently if they knew or thought they knew who murdered this baby.

According to the records in MD JK was there 6/1993 and 12/1993 and there is an arrest record for bad checks and uttering. If she claims she was kidnapped maybe RK took her to court against her will because he had bonded her out and as a bounty hunter he would be within his rights....correct? The case for 12/93 disposition is "stet". Not sure what that means???? But she was listed as J Kronk on those arrest records. So this would be very interesting to check out. LOL, no wonder she is pizz'd. JMO

This testimony will hold no weight with a jury when the prosecution pounds home the fact that Roy Kronk reported finding what looked like a skull back in August 08. Why would someone involved in Caylee's demise want the remains to be found? I don't think the judge will admit her testimony as evidence to impeach a witness who discovered the remains. JMO

Also another food for thought item what is the statute of limitations for kidnapping or detaining against someones will in Maryland? Why wasn't this crime reported in that amount of time. They were only married 4 months why did she not report this crime during the statute limits after the divorce or during the divorce as leverage? I'm sorry but to me these comments are as fishy as SeaWorld.

Also wasn't one of RK's ex's quoted as talking about how nice RK was then changed their story later?

IIRC: the postings on the internet were in early discovery after dec 11th. It was Rk's deceased girlfriends brother that started the postings of Rk being a good man. At some point Cs came into that thread and said Rk was a good man. The comments are in discovery released by the state. I will keep an eye out for the link.

There is no way to really know if any of these people were who they say they are. There is more info in there that is interesting. I don't want to get into it too much because this thread is about Jk. However, I believe that Jk deposition will lead to Cs deposition. Sorry for being off topic. Moo

Sorry for quoting myself... I found the longer version of her depo. In the beginning of the clip she says that she was duct taped once which is the portion I had posted above. Later, when asked specifically, toward the middle of the longer video, she states she was duct taped twice.

I don't think any of this matters at all for purposes of this motion. I don't think that has any bearing on what she may say in her testimony. To me this is all a distraction and it is working

Completely agree. We are down a rabbit hole. Focus over here, over there. Take the focus off KC.

Until both sides take the depos and then go back to the Judge to see if it passes the means test of admissability ..... it is sorta/kinda academic and hearsay. Moot IMO.

It is only at the stage of preliminary investigation and may never become discovery or ever get to a jury. I am not holding my breath. A sideshow.
