In a way, I feel bad for Ms. Kerley. Many cancer patients take medications that bloat them, it happened to a friend of mine. Once slim and slender, she gained a lot of weight and retained water.

Others waste away due to cancer. I also had an obese friend who started losing weight. Everyone was complimenting her on how good she looked. What those people didn't know was that she was dying from stage IV stomach cancer.

I hope that the attys for the state take time to depose her in person. Skype wouldn't be the best way to deal with her in her current situation. If Ms. Drane does the interview, I'm sure she will manage to make it as easy as possible for JK while getting all the facts of her background/credibility out there.

This is one deposition I want to get my hands on once it is made public...

Don't take this the wrong way, because I think Casey is right where she belongs, but doesn't anyone wonder why Kronk kept going back to the same place to search? Did he ever say he searched anywhere else? Why there?

My understanding from his depo was that he was sure of what he had seen the first time he was at that site. Clearly he would not have just placed a body there himself as it was under water. Had the LE officer done his job Caylee would have been recovered that very day. KC's statement that KC felt Caylee was close to home sent up a red flag to a lot of people at the time. Obviously many others searched that area because KC said "she's close". He just happened to find her and would not give up. As RK said himself, "No good deed goes unpunished." Also, remember JW. She claims to have been there approximately 10 times. jmo

If I were Sa, I would handle the deposition gently. Ask a few softball questions and end it. I would be careful to not look like we are siding with Rk. Let her criminal record speak for itself. Moo

  • #245
Unfortunately for her JK made some very strong accusations. It does not matter that you are ill. If you accuse someone of a crime you don't have the right to tell SA how to question you. To make such a statement without providing any proof I would think she would have to prove she is credible. I don't think JK can do that. Now if she is on probation JK may not be able to leave the state and it may not be because of illness that she refuses to travel. So it will be interesting to see how this unfolds. JMO

It may have been info from the jail...His girlfriend.

I was thinking about the duct tape part of this statement and not even thinking about how long she said he restrained her.

According to Os:
Kerley already told a private investigator for the Anthony team that Kronk once tied her up with duct tape and kidnapped her for two weeks, records say. Her allegations were videotaped and released to the media.

The other part of this is if he could restrain an adult for two weeks and keep her alive, imagine how long he could restrain a child and keep her alive. Not to be off topic, but I think this ties in. I never believed that the skull was ever under water because her hair was piled up around it. I am pretty sure hair floats and would float away. Moo. Mods, sorry to be a little off topic. Let me know and I will remove the post.

I, for one, have never seen any proof that RK's girlfriend is a jailer where KC is being held. If you have a link and information that proves that is more than a rumor I would appreciate it. I do not consider anything LP has stated as proof positive, sorry. As well, many people believe that RK's supervisor is a neighbor of the A's. I also have never seen any proof of that, just a rumor. So if anyone has a link or can verify this info I would appreciate seeing it. Everytime this issue comes up there are requests made for this info but nothing has ever been proven. Thanks. I would just like to see if, in fact, these rumors are true.

On the other thread there is a site for MD court systems. On there JK has an arrest record for bad checks 6/93 and 12/93 under her married name. So we know she was in MD on two occasions passing bad checks. Angry as she seems to be would she consider it a kidnapping because he would not bring her home. They were married at the time why would he have to kidnap her. I think there is more to her story and if RK had a kidnapping charge for taking someone over the state line it would be Federal, wouldn't now. And, of course, we would ALL know about it by now. JMO

On the link I provided yesterday the person claiming to be CS states in her post that Hopespring is "the street I live on". It is not know if this person is the real CS because of anonymity on the internet but it may be the link, the defense will claim, to the Anthony's if it is true. If true, then JK may be aware of the connection.

I see in the news thread that the OS put out a story. They talk about Jk and her crimes.

From the Os:
Tennessee criminal records show Kerley is a convicted felon who is on probation. Records show she has been charged several times with writing bad checks as far back as 1998.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation records also indicate that Kerley, who is a nurse, was arrested in 2000 on a controlled-substance charge. The outcome of that case was not available.

If her testimony is entered into the record, it's likely prosecutors will point to her criminal past.

It will be interesting to watch the Sa impeach a very sick cancer patient that is a nurse. Nurses are noble people in my opinion. I wonder how Sa will approach this.. Moo

Convicted felons, liars and criminals get cancer too.

Would you say the same thing if...G-d forbid...RK got sick? Would you want the defense to go easy on him when/if he testifies? Just curious. I don't think he deserves any of what's been insinuated...healthy or not.

I know this sounds confusing, but I believe Cs was quoting the supervisor on the radio dispatch with Rk the morning of Dec 11th when he said hopespring the street I lived on. Sorry, but I do believe this is the case. I will look for the link to the audio radio dispatch where it was said. Hope this helps. Moo

Ok...did I miss something...are we talking about RK's girlfriend living on Hopespring? Now, that's a new one for me. I would think that little tidbit of info would be in JB's depo. How come no one from the media has requested the depo?

I would venture to guess that if she was indeed restrained for two weeks and bound for most of that time she would require some form of medical attention. There is no mention of any medical records to indicate treatment for injuries as a result of this kidnapping.

She would have serious abrasions on her wrists and other areas that were restrained from the duct tape. Also possible bed sores, infection, and other various aliments. Not to mention other necessary biological functions that would need to take place.

The major problem with JK's story is that there is not one shred of evidence to back up any of her claims. I also don't think this is an abuse victim that was afraid of RK. They were only married for 4 months. I believe the statute of limitations in MD for kidnapping is like 4 or 5 years. That and according to her she was transferred between state lines. I'm not sure what the Fed limit is on kidnapping but I would assume it's as long or longer then the state.

The one thing I find fishy about this whole thing is not actually JK's story. The part I find the most fishy is that she was video taped and not sworn in. That video was edited, and then released to the media and not as part of any defense discovery. That to me has my hinky meter in over drive.

This is the statement:

It is an ambiguous statement. I probably misinterpreted.

RR0004 this is an anonymous poster claiming to be CS. There is no way to know if the poster is legit. These postings were in the investigation by DC.

I watched the short video just yesterday and I could swear that what she said was that she was tied up with duct tape twice and both times were in Key West where RK was living at the time.

The kidnapping was explained as he packed a bag and he told her they were going to the store or something and when they got on the interstate or whatever road it was (not really important) she wanted to know where they were going and he told her Maryland. She said that she did not want to go and to take her home. He said no and took her to Maryland. I also believe that they were with his parents so I highly doubt that they would allow him to keep her duct taped for 2 weeks. She said that she wanted to go home but he wouldn't let her. She didn't say anything about being restrained for the 15 days.

Maybe she said what you said in the longer video which I have not watched.

Just FYI....

This diagnosis of Non-Hodgkins isn't recent. According to this old article, JK was originally diagnosed in 2006, and was deemed in remission as of this article in October of 2007.

http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2007/oct/01/a-stroll-with-a-role/

In the following internet postings of her mother, Darlene, in August of 2009, she states among other things that her daughter "has acquired Non-Hodgkins" but does not state if she is still in remission. She does, however, state that as of this writing (8/09), her daughter is in the hospital and has been passing out, causing her to fall. She also states
"the doctors don't know anything except that her potassium was low and a new pill for raising her blood pressure."

http://www.forallthewaysyoucare.com/view_story/?storyid=4726418206195651796&viewmode=true#

So I think it is assumptive at this point to state that her Non-Hodgkins is no longer in remission and that any health issues she may have are related to this previously diagnosed condition.

To date, the only confirmation that she is too ill to travel have been from Baez, and he hasn't always been completely upfront.....just saying.....
