This is a somewhat different post than those usually seen on the "Unidentified forum". Please delete if you feel it's inappropriate.

Date of discovery: May 21, 2001 (first captured on video footage by a French climber)
Location of discovery: Northeast ridge route of Mount Everest
Estimated date of death: Unknown, possibly May 1996
State of remains: Mummified
Cause of death: Blizzard

Physical Description

Race: Unknown, possibly East Indian
Sex: Male

Identifiers

Dentals: Not available
Fingerprints: Not available
DNA: Not available

Clothing and Personal Items

Clothing: Red fleece jacket, blue pants of unknown material, neon green Koflach boots

Circumstances of Discovery

This body, nicknamed "Green Boots", was discovered by Pierre Paparon, a French climber, who captured it on video. The body was found curled up in a limestone alcove cave at 27,900 feet. Green Boots became a landmark for climbers of expeditions from the north side. In 2014, Green Boots was moved by Chinese climbers to another undisclosed location. There are reports of sightings of Green Boots after 2014, but other reports say the body is hidden from view.

Possible Identities

Tsewang Paljor- Was also wearing green Koflach boots during a disastrous May 1996 expedition of Mount Everest that proved fatal for him.
Dorje Morup- Paljor's companion who was last sighted close to where Green Boots was found. Deputy leader of the Border Police Climbing Team believes Green Boots is Morup. The deputy leader also claims that Paljor's body has never been found.

I thought it was now commonly accepted that Green Boots is most likely Paljor. Multiple articles stating that pretty easy to find:

I agree, it's obvious Green Boots is Paljor. I don't know why the Deputy leader thinks otherwise.

If I'm right, it's only a tentative ID. They can't really confirm it because he's a trail marker.

I heard they moved him off trail couple years back.

Why did the Chinese do that?
Not only is it a bit disrespectful, his green boots were a trail marker.

If you've ever watched any videos of Everest, a trail marker where he was at was completely unnecessary. I think it more respectful to move him to a private resting spot. MOO

Oh, I see. I hadn't heard of any other long term bodies up there ever being moved....but then again, maybe it wasn't possible to for them to be moved, but it was for Mr. Green Boots.
