Mounties nab 11-year-olds cruising past Manitoba checkstop

"Police were setting up a checkstop [drunk driving ambush] in the western Manitoba community on Dec. 18 when officers saw a vehicle driving without lights. The vehicle was stopped and police discovered an 11-year-old was driving. The passenger was another 11-year-old. "

Not amusing to me. When my oldest daughter was 13, I found out when she was an adult that she used to take our stick shift truck and pick up her friends and go for a ride while hubby and I were out riding on his motorcycle for a short cruise. Maybe two hours.

I could just visualize the headlines on the front page of our paper about what loser parents we were.

Kids. You never know what they are up to.
