First problem: Equine therapy for hallucinations ?
Second problem: That would have had no bearing on an insanity plea. Under Mississippi law the knowledge of or lack thereof right from wrong is the standard. Her evaluations bore out that she did in fact know right from wrong and if there was any doubt left, the home surveillance video showed that she did know that what she had done was wrong.

She was having hallucinations as a child? To me, that sounds like schizophrenia and does in fact make me question her mental stability. I don’t like her criminal actions, but I can see why the defense would push this idea regarding a retrial.
Keep in mind, these statements came from her bio dad who literally caused her trauma and is not the best authority on her life details.

Granted. I don’t like that the dad did drugs, reportedly blew marijuana smoke in her face and gave her beer as a minor.

Yeah, he is too little, too late with his efforts to help her. The damage is done.
