Mississippi prisons making headlines again.
“Your Life Ain’t Worth Two Ramen Noodle Packs”
“Prisoners have attacked guards more than 340 times a year, on average, since 2016, according to our analysis; there were an average of 1,300 guards on the job each year. They were beaten, stabbed with makeshift knives, sexually assaulted and often “dashed”—prison slang for being doused with urine, feces or hot water—according to state records and interviews. The state acknowledged that about 115 of these assaults each year caused serious injuries.”
I hope BT ends up in MS- and not some other state. Moo
Yeah- with this case that’s my worst fear. I don’t believe any true mental probs other than entitlement/ spoiled brat syndrome. He really needs life in prison. JmvhoI have a sinking feeling BT will end up in psychiatric care under conditions where his father can insure the luxuries of life.
I'm trying to remain hopeful though and hope some news breaks that will foster that soon!

I'm very curious about how BT is handling incarceration since he's only known a life of luxury. It's been about 8 months of lock-up for him.
In many ways he reminds me of Riley Gaul -- Emma Walker's (TN) stalker boyfriend that murdered her after shooting a bullet through her bedroom wall -- striking her in the head as she slept. RG was unrecognizable when he entered the courtroom -- he'd become a huge roly-poly and had that over-medicated shuffle. when he walked. MOO
Maybe a rich relative is paying MSM “catch & kill” with every interview request. Or nothing new while waiting psych eval. Still. Should be a little peep somewhere. Not a peep from the media!

Oh wow- so... are you thinking local news avoiding topic out of fear of Farese? Correct me if I am misinterpreting. But if that’s what you’re saying, that’s scary power in a small region!Well...I’m kind of local and there seems to be NO DISCUSSION here a (few hours away) nor there in Oxford after the initial interest. Not that people aren’t interested just no bones thrown at all.
His lawyer is a high powered type person, IMO more like an O.J. type Lawyer...scary and not so beloved but feared if you are for the prosecution. Seems to know how to find a way around guilt. Praying not the case this time.
Anybody recall the lady who killed her minister husband and fled with their two children...Mary Winkler? Winkler's entire defense team (her attorneys Steve Farese Sr., Leslie Ballin, Tony Farese) represented her pro bono throughout the criminal case.
edited to say: MOO
Very cool- hope you kick *** in law school & end up blocking Farese’s appeals one day. Maybe let a few wins slip by to drag things out so there’s no $$$$$ left for BT to play video games or lord anything over anyone. Because at that point, what would be different? JmoAs someone whose brother was imprisoned for four years in Ky state prison, you can live decently in there with money. We grandchildren have trusts that distribute a middle class salary to us monthly. My brother managed to blow through $2-2500 a month on food, toiletries, books, movies and video games- yes video games. The downside is it makes you a target if you piss people off, but you can also use it to lord over people. It’s sick.
On a side note, I went back to ole miss and Oxford end of January with my husband for a weekend trip. I am starting law school in the fall in KY and my husband and I always joke about moving to oxford because we love the town so much. We were leaving big bad breakfast (a must if you go to oxford!) and we’re driving past the Faroese law firm office and he points it out and goes “oh look, there’s a law firm you can work at” (not knowing who they are). I balked and told him hell no and explained the backstory. I had a great visit but I did think of Ally several times, especially when walking past the courthouse, the bar she was last seen at, and her sorority house.
No shortage of law firms in Oxford! You'll find one or set up your own like many others have.As someone whose brother was imprisoned for four years in Ky state prison, you can live decently in there with money. I hope something fell on his head! Like his bunk mate. The first thought that jumped into my mind with the 5.7 quake in UT was that I hope the SLC jail is secure! SLC not built for tremors! Don’t need AA escaping for sure!
