Ally’s public funeral is today. Rest In Peace beautiful girl. I did not know ally personally but I have fallen asleep every night thinking of her and her heartbroken parents. Let’s all hope justice prevails for AK!

Was it mentioned if he was intoxicated when he did this? Did he say he had no memory of doing this??

Nothing has been released or leaked, but I would say it is almost certain that he was drinking Friday night and he was drinking Saturday morning, it is likely that he bought alcohol with his bank card, at Lakeside Market and/or somewhere else, while Ally was with him, and there is a good chance that he left his empties at the crime scene and in his truck.

Earlier I speculated that his defense might claim that he blacked out and didn’t know what happened. But that was just speculation. Nothing that he has said has been leaked or released.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he opened his arrogant mouth on the hour long drive from Memphis back to oxford .....

That's what I was thinking and perhaps continued on arrival... I hope he did.

Yes -- posted his arrest warrant/affidavit a few pages back. Post #872 I think. Unless defense or DA provide something, this will be all the documents we have under sealed case.

Thanks a bunch, Seattle.

I have heard of people killing when drunk and not remembering. Alcohol is a mind killer.

I think he left plenty of evidence that he was at the crime scene.
I haven't heard and I was wondering about that. Do you have a link,, I've looked but can't find anything. Ty

I live close-ish to Oxford and know a lot of people from the community and when Ally was found shot 8 times, everyone thought it was gang-related. Shooting someone can be really impersonal and gangs like to make sure you’re 100% dead. The cases we tend to see with men killing a woman he was romatically involved with/overkill are usually more personal: strangling, stabbing, beating, etc. It may be that Theesfeld was too small (5’7) to successfully take poor Ally down this way. If he had dropped the evidence in Memphis and it had been found, this case would’ve been way more difficult. “We got into a fight in the car so I dropped her off in a sketchy area of Sardis. I feel terrible/stupid now for doing it but she demanded to get out of the car. I wish I had just made her stay in the car *fake tears*”. We are SO LUCKY law enforcement got to him before he could dump the evidence in Memphis. The fast work of the Mississippi cops of figuring out who she was with and their immediate informing of Memphis police is a shining beacon when often cases are ruined by ineffectual police work.

yes, unfortunately we do have a high crime rate in Memphis..it’s a much bigger city than there college town of Oxford. The part of town he was in is not great either...he probably was planning on disposing of the evidence here and blaming it on Memphis gang violence??
That's my hunch regarding his plan.

I am in the state and have relatives that live in that area. I was trying to answer you without stepping in areas that might get off-topic.

The crime in Memphis spills over into that area of MS on a daily basis, to fully answer your question. So, it wouldn't be a mischaracterization necessarily.
No need to answer my questions if they trouble you. I'd rather address issues straight on rather than dance around them, but I notice this thread doesn't quite function like that.

Video clip posted a few pages back (with BT's attorney speaking), also had a shot of Lakeside Market and reporter said BT purchased fuel there.

Checking the laws for packaged wine/beer sales in the county is 7AM to midnight.

I believe BT and Ally were at the store after midnight. He was probably already juiced up when he called on Ally. MOO

MOO As a former college professor at UM and member of community let me say - You can’t always tell the difference between a gang member and a college student. A lot of different people mix in and around bars on the Square. You can’t judge by appearances. May have nothing to to do with case but is something to be considered.
A belated thanks for your comments about the UM area. It always helps us understand the "weather" in a certain area. College/Univ bars/restaurants and hangouts do attract all types -- wannabe's, post-graduates, visitors, etc., etc. -- so at this this time, who knows what made this happen. Did someone stalk her, thinking she gave him/her an imagined special smile?

I don’t think he had a plan. He used his bank card at the Memphis gas station, he was wearing an Ole Miss t-shirt, and he probably had his phone on, tracking his movements. If he was trying to flee and dump evidence, he is the stupidest fugitive ever.

Has anyone local been in that store or are familiar with the merchandise? Would the story carry PG tests? I am thinking no, but I have grown kids and don't check the aisles of any store for those tests so not sure.

Is it a store with that type of item, or more like a place with just beverages and beef jerky sticks?

He wouldn't be the first to dump items in a "bad" neighborhood. (I'm thinking of the Jennifer Dulos case in CT.)

I totally agree. Getting to know an area is sooo helpful in figuring out cases (plus,it's interesting). This is part of the country I have only visited once as a 12yo on a long (very long) road trip with my family. But other than that trip, the place is very unknown to me.

First impressions:

The lake/dumping ground had significance. I wonder if she went there with someone that associated it with a significant memory or event.

Didn’t hide the body or a patrol officer would not have spotted it on a drive by. So... not an ex boyfriend or someone that would be suspected by others. A stranger? Or acquaintance? Either crime of opp from going to mini-mart type thing or new interest others would not have known about yet.

Horrible. I’m sick & tired of young college women encountering evil.
I do think this dumping place had significance -- did she and the suspect date? If so, was this a special romantic spot for them, or was it where they decided to break up? This place, IMO, was picked for a reason.
(Late comments, just joined this thread...)

My point is if he was dumping evidence in South Memphis he should have turned off his phone, not used his bank card, and not walked into a store with surveillance cameras wearing an Ole Miss shirt. He is a dumbass.
