Carolyn Major was reported missing in April of 1997. A couple of months later, her body was discovered and her death was ruled a homicide. Investigators said that she died from a blow to the head. There was a person of interest in the case but they were never charged and the case remains unsolved.

Moss Point Cold Case

Kevin Murray was only seven-years-old when his mother was murdered. Twenty-one years later and the pain of losing a parent remains just as fresh. “Why would you do this to her, you know. She was still a human being and it’s like they just threw her away like she was a piece of trash.”

Major’s death was ruled a homicide. According to the coroner, she suffered a blow to the head. At the time, a suspect was generated but enough evidence to make an arrest could not be found.
