GUILTY MS - Chief James Sullivan for sexual assault of 14yo girl, Mendenhall, 2007

I do not know if there is anything here about this case, if there is I am sorry for reposting. Second time this Police Chief has been tried for having sex with a 14 year old girl...both trials ended in mistrials.......this is really making me angry!

Oh so glad I am not the only one who thought he looks like Drew Peterson..didn't he also meet Stacy when she was a minor?? Thank god this girl has parents thatrealize that this is pedophilia..regardless of consensual or not.. he should be in a position of authority..

Yes, I think she was a minor when they met, and he was spposedly a "mentor" or something..as this creep is claiming to be. Tonight on the news the Prosecutor is already gearing up for round 3. Maybe three times will be a charm.

Ms. Pooh this link was just an hour ago my time. The DA said "Either he's insane or he expects us to be insane". This poor kid. She has to be one tough young lady. From this link it sounds like her dad is extremely supportive. October 2008:

Mendenhall police Chief Jimbo Sullivan now says he's guilty of having sex with a teenager.

In a surprise move, Sullivan entered the guilty plea in Simpson County Circuit Court.

This was to be Jimbo Sullivan's third trial on related charges...

The new charge, still a felony, but not with the long term effects of the original charge, sexual battery, where convicts have to register as a sex offenders...

Sullivan was sentenced to four years in prison, and a fine of $3,000.00 plus court costs.
