Found Deceased MS - Dewan Fortner, 29, was visiting someone, Jackson, 25 Feb 2019 *arrest*

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - Jackson police are looking for help from the public to find a missing man. They are searching for 29-year-old Dewan Fortner.

Fortner was last seen visiting someone in the west Jackson area of the Queens subdivision, on Monday, February 25th. He has not been seen since and his family is concerned.

He is described as a black male with a light complexion, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and approximately 150 pounds. Fortner’s hair is also in dreads.

If you know where Dewan Fortner is, call the Jackson Police Department at 601-960-1234.

Confirmed that Dewan has been found deceased. Foul play indeed.

“According to Fortner’s grandmother, mother, and uncle, they were in court this morning and said that 44-year-old Cedric Taylor was charged with their loved one’s murder.
Family says that he was given a $60,000 bond and admitted in court that he hid Fortner’s body behind the building yesterday”

I don't think that is the ongoing investigation that was happening when Dewan was found, but who knows. Not me. But I agree it might lead one to think so...

I mean, never say never, but I can think of a lot of open investigations going on in Jackson right now. Way too many to assume this is linked to Danielle's case. Lots of ongoing crime in Jackson with a high body count.

A judge set Taylor's bond at $125,000. Fortner's mother said she filed a complaint against the judge because she believes Taylor's bond is too low.
