GUILTY MS - Everett Dutschke for mailing ricin letters, framing rival, Tupelo, 2013

  • #21
"Ricin is poisonous if, inhaled, injected, or ingested, acting as a toxin by the inhibition of*protein synthesis. It is resistant, but not impervious, to digestion by peptidases"

"A dose as small as a few grains of table salt can kill an adult human."

" Because the symptoms are caused by failure to make protein, they emerge only after a variable delay from a few hours to a full day after exposure."

" An antidote has been developed by the U.S. military which has so far shown to be safe and effective when lab mice were injected with antibody-rich blood mixed with ricin, and has had some human testing. "

"Long term organ damage is likely in survivors. Ricin causes severe diarrhea and victims can*die*of*shock. Death typically occurs within 3–5 days of the initial exposure."

Third floor of Russell Building is closed to the public right now. I believe that's where Sen. Levin's office is. No evacuations though at this time. Let's see....Levin, 269 Russell. Hm. Not sure how floors are counted there.

An FBI bulletin obtained by Fox News said the letter sent to Obama is still being screened.

The bulletin said both letters included the phrase: "To see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance."

Both were signed, "I am KC and I approve this message."

The letter to the Mississippi Republican was intercepted at an off-site mail screening facility.

It's his Saginaw office, and the building was evacuated, and the worker who opened the letter went to hospital.

These letter's seem to be a home grown terrorist.

Sad thing is they are too stupid to realize these will never make it to the intended victim. Only innocent people who are hard working and just doing their jobs.

The quote ("To see a wrong....") is attributed to Dr. John Raymond Baker, who apparently (still looking for info) is a whistleblower of some sort. Possibly a ruse de guerre.

A letter to President Obama that was intercepted at an off-site facility has tested positive for ricin, the FBI says.

The envelope, addressed to the White House, was immediately quarantined by U.S. Secret Service personnel and a coordinated investigation with the FBI was initiated.

The FBI said White House operations were not affected.

The letter was intercepted Tuesday, the same day that a letter to U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker was intercepted at an off-site facility and tested positive for ricin.

Sorry if I violated some board rule by posting this link. It was meant to illustrate some of the atmosphere among what is no doubt a small segment of society. I am not sure if I ought to comment on this any more, at least not until you clarify your message. Am I in trouble here?

Snick, as far I know it's fine to post the link that you did (A mod will remove it, if not)

I just copied the post (showing that had been removed by that forums moderators and thanked three times).

Sorry if it was confusing.

My question is if when you read it, had it already been removed and if not do you remember what was said?

That article is a little confusing to me. It goes on to say this,

Some threatening letters simply contain ground castor beans, resulting in a positive field test for ricin without the concentrated poison.*Results from full laboratory tests are expected in the next 24 to 48 hours.

So it tested positive for the ground beans but not yet for the concentrated poison. If I'm reading it right.

I think that's probably right.
