Found Deceased MS - Gracelyn Vick, 6, Harrison County, 13 April 2025

The sheriff has clarified today that no arrests have been made. This statement is a result of the rumor mill grinding like crazy, partially due to a family member posting something that has turned out to not be true. Adding to the swirl is that this is not the first child in the family to die. I sure hope that the facts can be determined soon to clarify what has happened.

“So far, no one has been arrested in the case, and it’s too early to determine if foul play is involved,” Haley said Monday. “This is an ongoing investigation.”

Update today:
On Monday, Harrison County Sheriff Matt Haley quashed one of the many rumors on social media about the status of the investigation. “So far, no one has been arrested in the case, and it’s too early to determine if foul play is involved,” Haley said Monday. “This is an ongoing investigation.”

Sorry for my duplicate post. My page didn't show yours for some weird reason when I was updating.

Ummm in every picture I see bruises. Under her eye, forehead and one picture (it might be shadow) looks like bruising under both eyes.

We’ve been here before. I don’t think we will be surprised.

I don't notice any bruises in the pictures I have seen.

I haven't seen any pictures with bruises. The Easter Egg hunt picture has her face in shadow, but I don't see bruises.

Yes. An older brother who was special needs who passed away at age 18 and an older sister who died in a tragic car accident at the age of 13.

Yes, so sad and all in the last 4 years. The son died in 2021 and the older daughter only March 2024.

And, I believe, a step-father who passed from cancer not long ago. Grandfather was killed in the accident with her sister.
So much heartbreak :'(
IMO.

Yes, I think you are correct. It's really too much for one person. I hope she has family to look out for her. I also hope that LE is able to get to the bottom of this and if it wasn't just a tragic accidental death and someone is responsible for this little girl's death, that they are held fully accountable for it.

I keep seeing pictures on the news of old swingsets and play stuff, wire fencing etc. I just wonder if she may have had an accident with all of that stuff? The thing is, I don't see it taking LE 6 hours to find it unless it wasn't on their property or far enough away. IMO

Or hidden on the property...
IMO.

The area from which her body was recovered. Are they in a depression? Perhaps she fell into a pit of some sort, hence why it took some time to find her?

I had wondered the same thing. It looks like so much stuff there that looks like an accident waiting to happen.
